We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! Bella was an outstanding server and truly made our night with her attentive and friendly service. The entire staff was wonderful, and the bussers kept our table clean throughout the evening.

The focaccia bread melts in your mouth and is a must-try. The steak was delicious, we ordered medium rare, but it came out closer to rare, so I’d recommend ordering medium if you prefer it more cooked.

Overall, the food, service, and atmosphere were excellent. We will definitely be back!

It’s one of the best and few genuinely fine dining restaurants in Portland. It was in the 20th floor and had a great view on the window seat. Service of course excellent. Our server was “Gabriella” and she is one of the Best server among all the restaurants. Very classy food options and not alot, however those were amazing. Beef marrow tartare was amazing. But the best part of the meal was the desert. Desert options were very creative. We had “Bacon and Egg” desert and out of the world.
Overall we had an amazing time there and we would go back again.
There were parking options outside the hotels including parking garage but we chose the valet which was bit pricy but safe.

Update 12-21-25: we went back as just a couple. Got to sit by the window. Views were fantastic. Noise level was high again. Table was oddly long so hard to pass each other plates etc. Service was a little faster, but don’t be in a rush. The entrees were both good but not outstanding. We tried the halibut and scallops. Portions are small. With bread and a salad and dessert it was enough for us. We tried the chocolate taco. It was visually appealing but not so great with the flavor profile and textures. In the end we felt it was a nice place for the view but was overpriced for the food.

Our group of 4 had dinner here. Setting is great. A table for 2 would be better though since they are next to the window. View is fantastic. Food was excellent. We split the steak. Steak portion was great. Sides were small. Drinks were delicious. The ladies liked the oysters. Service was excellent but food took a while to come out. They did warn us. Next time we will try a table for 2 and try more small plates.

This is a terrific restaurant well-located in Portland. Our party of three shared multiple plates to try the different options on the menu and they were all terrific. Salmon Crudo, Wagyu carpaccio, Bellpine Sliders, Scallops and their Rosti Potato were all fantastic — finished with a very creative smores and “bacon and eggs” dessert. Cocktails were good and wine list well represented — a wonderful visit and the classic Ritz Carlton service from Amanda and Matthew. Thank you and we will be back!

Dining at the Ritz-Carlton naturally sets high expectations, both for service and cuisine. While our server was truly wonderful and attentive, the kitchen fell short of the level one would anticipate from such a renowned establishment.

The salmon was underwhelming — poorly deboned, lacking seasoning, and served with a potato purée that was overwhelmed by oil rather than enriched by it. The accompanying carrots were noticeably undercooked, leaving the dish unbalanced and unsatisfying. Hoping for redemption, we turned to the wagyu, only to find it equally disappointing, and my husband’s scallops arrived nearly raw, which felt careless rather than artful.

Dessert, which should have been a graceful finale, was equally forgettable and failed to redeem the evening.

As someone who loves and seeks out fine dining experiences, I left feeling more disheartened than delighted. The service deserves recognition, but the food needs significant refinement to live up to the standards both the Ritz-Carlton name and its discerning guests demand.

Probably the best view in town now that the Big Pink is not safe …

The food was good overall, but not sure if it’s worth the price, but you are paying for the ambiance and service. It costs us $180 per person, but we did get enough food and some wine.

Nicole was our seever and she is indeed great as many reviewers mentioned.

In a word …. Disappointing

First the positives
– the views are outstanding + our server Craig was very good
– On the food front the carpaccio was fantastic. Maybe the best I have ever had. My wife also enjoyed the Brussel sprouts. And I thought the crab Berliner was solid

On the other hand
– the scallops themselves were well prepared however the rest of the dish was flat with little to no taste …. Sad to say a common theme
– I generally never order ribs unless we are at a bbq place. Once again – I was proven right. The ribs were very disappointing. Very little taste and very mushy
– the lobster sliders were bad – really bad. We had two orders (4 total) and everyone had the same thoughts – no taste and if I was generous they were prepared as a medium but probably closer to a well done. Don’t mean to be ugly -but some of the worst sliders I have ever had

Living in California I am use to high prices however for below average taste …. Disappointing. Especially in a town with a ton of great restaurants

PS Skip the Massican – tasting more like a Chardonnay

The food, views and service are exceptional! Usually the descriptions of plates in fancy $$$ restaurants sound better than they taste … this isn’t the case at Bellpine. One of our faves is the Albacore & Waygu beef tartare stuffed bone marrow. Sounds weird, but is delectable. Oysters, Uni & Caviar appetizer came together flawlessly fresh! See photos for more.
I will admit that the $28 cocktail w gold leaf and a green mochi ice cream ball (to serve as ice?) was overly sweet and hid the gin. Cocktails can break the bank here so be forewarned 🙂
It’s hard to get a reservation, but we found that the bar — where you can access the full menu — was nearly empty the Friday night we were there, which was highly surprising given the amazing view.

We loved this meal and our server, Nicole, deserves a raise. She was super communicative, cheerful, had good recommendations, and was kind.

As a warning, the drinks are rather expensive. They are very worth it though, some of the best I’ve ever had in my life.

This is a really good spot to celebrate occasions because they really go all out with the dessert for it.

❤️Albacore and wagyu tartare ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– would reorder this again
– my main issue with this was the sauce was sort of weirdly dispersed throughout but I like how it wasn’t overly saucy, the meat was able to shine through

❤️Crab Berliner ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– surprisingly good
– loved the sweat bread, the cinnamon was amazing
– wasn’t too sweet wasn’t too salty.

Salmon crudo ⭐⭐⭐⭐✨
– loved this but wish it had something substantial like maybe an avocado or some veggie to balance it if there is this little salmon?

Brussel sprouts and miso ⭐⭐⭐
– just ok for me
– a little too saucy
– but the brussel sprouts were fresh, they weren’t bitter

Rosti potato⭐⭐⭐
– would reorder, little too salty and rich for me
– my partner loved it
– it was good, the potatoes were so crispy, I wouldn’t consider this a rosti, it was more of a crunchy potato chunk less what I thought would be a pancake
– the truffle was good

Pork ribs⭐⭐⭐
– just ok
– was super tender
– the flavor didn’t blow my mind
– the slaw was good

Bellpine sliders ⭐⭐
– wouldn’t reorder
– little too heavy
– lobster was rubbery for me

❤️Wagyu and persimmon carpaccio ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– the topping worked really well
– light and delicate and melted

— dessert —

Forest ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
– favorite dessert i have had at a resturaunt
– our server recommended this

Corn ⭐⭐⭐
– wouldn’t reorder this, specifically because I like the forest so much
– it is slightly too savory for me, so this is truly a preference thing and potentially an expectation thing for me

I’ve been to Bellpine a few times now, and it’s easily one of the BEST dining spots in Portland. The views alone are worth it, But the food? Unreal. Locally sourced, beautifully plated, and full of flavor. The service is always top-notch too. Staff are friendly, helpful, and really make you feel taken care of. Highly recommend for both special occasions and casual fine dining. Definitely one of Portland’s best.

TAKE ALL MY MONEY, BELLPI I’M YOURS.
