Love hot dogs from stands and this is one of the best and few that are left. Wayne’s has been around for years and is always so good. He does all of your toppings right there in front of you while you wait. I always stop there when I’m passing by.
4/24/25- Stopped by again today and the hot dogs haven’t changed at all. They are still hot and juicy and amazingly good. Got 2 dogs and they were so good, I went back and got 2 more. Wayne, you are awesome!

Was a must stop whenever I delivered nearby. Had to drive around the block a few times for a parking spot big enough for my truck and trailer. Worth it every time. Haven’t been thru in a while, but one of my favorite go to spots.

Was told he had the best hot dogs and did not disappoint. Got two dogs with chili and all fixings with onions and peppers. Usually not a big fan of mustard but it completed the whole thing and made it taste incredible. Very filling and Wayne himself is a joy to converse with, familiar with the area and friendly to all. Prices are fair and quick to serve. Highly recommend and will be stopping by again.

2023 pricing slightly higher but this man still can’t be beat. Really nice and the dogs his way are the best way!

Always get a chili cheese dog, polish Wayne’s way, and a Italian sausage Wayne’s way.

Note he takes off between Christmas and end of February due to the cold.

I’ve heard about Wayne’s Hot Dog stand for years, it’s somewhat mythical and cult in the area. I was driving down 175 at lunchtime and remembered I’d wanted to try this for sometime since I’m a fan of a good hotdog!

The hot dog stand is on a pull behind trailer parked on Oceano Dr a south direction rd a couple intersections west of the MD175 & US1 intersection. I found a short line outside and Wayne himself inside the trailer-stand dishing out hot dogs, kielbasa and meatball subs.

Man, Wayne is really a friendly and engaging person – worth the stop just to “meat” him!

In the end, I didn’t get the hotdogs – not a fan of dogs held in a hot water bath … it affects the texture. I ordered the meatball sub. It was okay, but good value for the money.

Once I ordered the sub, Wayne plucked the meatballs out of the same water bath holding the hotdogs and dropped them into some hot marinara for a few minutes. They were scooped out with a generous amount of meatballs & sauce and added to the soft hoagie bun (kind of hot dog roll texture). Wayne then liberally topped them with shredded mozzarella.

It made a good lunch for the money (under $10 with soda & chips). Might revisit for the dogs but I’m on a mission to sample the Columbia eateries from I-95 westward. Follow me and see what I uncover.
