This is the best roast pork on the island. The duck is good too, some how they get the duck skin crispy like glass, I love that. However the meat was a little drier and less flavorful then the duck I had in Chinatown. The winner here really is the roast pork. My family wanted Roast Duck for our family gathering, so I ordered ahead of time. They prepare for you when you arrive. I also ordered a plate of crispy gau gee and fried rice.

For being voted best roast duck on the island, Roast Duck Kitchen did NOT disappoint- it was phenomenal!! I called ahead to order a whole roast duck, chopped, for lunar new year. They also sell steamed folded buns if you prefer it that way, but we made our own bing to go with it. The duck is absolutely luscious, and a very agreeable price for the portion and quality. We were just eating it and moaning because of how good it was we crisped up the skin in the oven at 350f for 10min before serving it, and we are absolutely saving the duck fat drippings for other cooking projects. The quality of the meat was great and the flavor just unbeatable, and you know it’s gonna be good when the store has cardboard box floor covers under the chopping area. Already planning our next order and to try their roast pork too!

If you are into roasted whatever, this is the place to be. I tried the roast duck and roast pork. Both are super delicious and perfectly cooked. Portions are generous. Once you try it you will forever fall in love and look for it. If you haven’t tried this place yet, you are definitely missing out.

Oh how I love this place! I’ve learned from past experience that the way to do it is to call in the morning when they first open at 9 a.m. and put in a telephone order for a later pick up time as that line can get really long, and they can sell out pretty quickly. Although for the people in line in the morning who are picking up food for lunch, this tactic may not work. Perhaps call the day before!?
I was so glad that I did call in the morning to order dinner for my boyfriend & I, because while I was in line to pick up my order at 3:10pm, two other people were turned away as mostly everything except chicken was sold out. That’s what happens when you love a place that has delicious food and is popular. It can sell out fast.
The duck is so succulent & juicy. Seasoned just right, and the roast pork is also to die for! So flavorful and that wonderful crispy skin on the top! My boyfriend loves the char siu. Oh my, reviewing this is starting to make me drool, and dinner isn’t for a couple hours yet. I think I’m going to sneak a piece of each item when I get home, but don’t tell my honey! LOL
Edit: While answering questions in Google’s Q & A section, I noticed the questions people were asking for Roast Duck Kitchen were more geared toward a “Sit Down Restaurant” type of eatery. The food here is awesome, but it is not a restaurant. It is a “Take Out” place. There is a picnic table outside their shop if you want to dig in right away, however depending on what season we are in & where the sun is at that moment, it could be too bright & hot as the entrance to their shop is not located in a covered area of the shopping center.

Pretty good Chinese bbq. Got the Roast duck and roast pork lunch plate with fried rice.
Fried rice had a lot of Char siu in it. the Crispy Gau was my favorite part.
