One of silver spring One of Silver Spring’s best-kept secrets that everyone needs to know about!!! They have happy hour where all appetizers, alcohol, and wine are 25% off. On top of that, they offer pottery classes, wine tastings, and maybe even open mic nights coming soon .
The food is everything.
I took my best friend—who is very picky—and this man ordered four plates just because his first one was that good. He got the jerk salad, jerk wrap, mini burgers, sliders, and fries… plus an extra plate of fries .
I ordered the grilled chicken club. The only thing I’d say is it could use a little more cilantro aioli—jerk chicken sandwiches usually have more flavor and are a bit juicier, in my opinion. I also got the goat salad with chicken, which was really good. best kept

We were pleasantly surprised by the weekend special—$65 for two entrées, a bottle of wine, and a dessert or appetizer. We couldn’t pass it up! We opted for the seafood pasta and Jerkalayla, along with bruschetta as our appetizer and a delicious bottle of red wine. Everything was flavorful and well-prepared, making for a satisfying meal.
Service:
The host was welcoming, answered our questions, and helped with recommendations. We were seated quickly and given great suggestions. However, as the place got busier around 5 PM, we didn’t see our waiter as much, but it didn’t take away from the experience.
Ambiance:
The atmosphere was relaxed and inviting—perfect for a casual wine night or date. It started off quiet but picked up as the evening went on, making for a lively yet comfortable setting.
Recommendation:
If you’re looking for a cozy wine bar with great deals and flavorful dishes, locavino is definitely worth checking out. We’ll be back for sure!

The food was fantastic. I went for happy hour and got a remarkably affordable and delicious cream of mushroom soup and beef sliders. I would absolutely buy both again.
Nice thing about the spot is you can shop for wine while you wait for your food. It has more of a cafe and less of a bar vibe—I would describe it as fairly family friendly.

Firstly the vibe in here is really nice, it does feel like a winery tasting room. There is a large selection of wines and the employees are very helpful. The food for me fell a little flat, it was delicious but not as much as I was expecting. I would definitely come here again. The Gouda burger was really delicious. The cheese board and the Cajun pasta were a big underwhelming.

Perfect combination of wine store with small cafe. Wine selection is really good considering that’s MoCo – kudos to the owners. It’s like Fenwick Beer in the wine world. Portugal wine from here serve as a great combination with lamb stew from Whole foods.
Please note that the parking is limited and you have to deal with all shoppers coming after groceries.
As a bonus if you dine in you get a view of the ice ring and street performers in front of Civic building.
Update June 2022: dining room is open, outside dining open too. Recommend to try cheese board with meat plus bottle – very good combo IMHO. It’s about $50. Any sandwiches will be overfill YMMV.

Great for delivery. Ordered from DoorDash and food arrived very hot, perfect temp! I tried the Jerkalaya. Sauce was fantastic, great portion size with an impressive amount of protein. Only note is I think it would be delicious with mushrooms.

Cute spot with nice staff and good food. I enjoyed everything I had. I thought about the tomato soup/garlic bread and banana bread pudding the next day…and I’m not a soup person. Every single thing was good. I didn’t get to photograph the banana bread pudding because I got it to go. Maaaaan, it was dreamy. I can’t wait to go back. My mimosa was tasty and strong. I spent about $40 for 4 food items and a drink.

I had a great lunch here with a colleague, and would definitely visit again. I got the penne pesto (without chicken + added portobello) which was excellent! I also got one of their side salads (they have many options) and a side of eggplant fries. To drink, I chose a glass of Sauvignon blanc that was light and bright, and the perfect addition to my meal. I had enough leftovers for lunch the next day, and everything still tasted great. The pricing was also really affordable for the size and quality.
I also want to give a shout-out to Max, who was running the register as well as serving and bussing all the tables. He was very friendly and helpful, helping me chose a vegetarian option for my pasta and later, bringing us to go boxes. He was really great and made the experience even better.

Come for the wines. There is a large selection, as you should expect. What was unexpected were wines from the local area, Maryland and Virginia. The wines are by far the main event. The foods offered can support the taste of the wines but it is not the main focus and certainly not worth coming for on its own. The service was helpful and friendly. However, it was not busy when I was there. Conveniently located in the heart of Silver Spring. It is unfortunate this place closes at 9:00PM. This could be a good place to finish a fun evening.
