I’ve had they pleasure of eating in once and getting it as takeout once. The burger style is thinner beef patties and the topping choices are sparse. However both times I had it the burger was delicious and made well. The fries are best eaten quickly, when we had cheese fries during the dine in they became soggy quickly.
I’m most excited by having a “fast food burger” available in the loop, it helps that it tastes good too. 4 stars for now until I can determine their quality consistency

Inexpensive but delicious burger joint on the loop. They have mastered the griddle burger by keeping the menu simple. Received my order in maybe three minutes freshly cooked and good to go. Perfect for that quick burger fix on a lunch break. Also try the chili mac – It has a kinda sweet and AMAZING taste to it!

The burgers are pretty thin but get a great crispiness on the grill. The double is a good size but not overwhelming. Service is fast and choices are limited. If you want a cheap good burger stop in.

Not sure why it’s called “Zippy.” Maybe it’s because it’s fast? And it is. It’s possibly the fastest food in the Loop. But I’d rather wait the extra 90 seconds and eat well at Seoul Taco (the former occupant of Zippy’s space). Maybe the “zippy” is meant to refer to the taste? I sure hope not. Because it isn’t. It’s a burger. Nothing special. Same with the fries. If you want a *good* burger, walk around the corner to Blueberry Hill. If you must have a burger in a hurry, Zippy will do fine. But there are so many better food options within a couple hundred yards.

I paid with a credit card and the cashier decided to reward himself with a $5 tip on my $8 order. I chose not to leave a tip because it is not a sit down restaurant (basically fast food), nor did he do anything other than take my order. Be careful if paying with a card!
