The beautiful thing about Jalapenos is that we assemble what you want and how you want it, right in front of you. You tell us your version of the perfect burrito, and we’re happy to oblige. Maybe you’re not a fan of sour cream, or you have a tomato allergy – we can help! What will it be today? The ever-popular chicken burrito or maybe you’re in the mood for a quesadilla. Our small menu consists of Burritos, Bowls, Tacos, Quesadillas, Salads, & Nachos. You pick the style, and we’ll guide you from there with your choice of fillings: rice, fajita vegetables, beans, meat, salsas, sour cream, cheese, and lettuce. Or how about our freshly made guacamole or queso cheese dip? We also carry a wide variety of hot sauces.

If it were possible to give negative stars, I absolutely would. This place doesn’t even deserve the single star it’s forced to get. The older woman working there with the nasty attitude is unbelievably rude and completely unprofessional. She can barely handle one order at a time without getting overwhelmed, yet somehow thinks it’s acceptable to roll her eyes, snap at customers, and yell at the staff in front of everyone. Watching the way she treats both customers and employees is honestly embarrassing. The entire atmosphere feels hostile and uncomfortable, and it’s clear this place has zero concern for customer service or basic respect. I would strongly recommend going literally anywhere else before giving this place your business.

Jalapeños Mexican Grill!
This is a cute little joint in Ada, Ohio
When you walk in you are met with a quiet atmosphere and a wall full of signatures from visitors over the years!
They serve food from a build-your-own, line style system
The service my partner and I received was decently nice, they did seem a bit like they wanted us to order a little faster than we were
I used to not take my time, feel stressed, and rush to place an order then end up with something I didn’t necessarily want, so I always take my time now to ensure I have seen all of the options and order according to my preferences 🙂
Anyways :))
I settled on soft tacos
An order of tacos comes in a set of 3
I had 2 vegetarian, 1 steak
The vegetarian tacos come with guacamole in place of a protein
I filled my tacos white rice, pinto beans, sour cream, cheese, peppers & onions, maybe corn? Sheesh ( not currently recalling if I added anything else )
My partner filled his bowl with white rice, barbacoa, steak, peppers & onions, tomatillo green chili, cheese, corn
We also ordered queso and chips
The chips had a hint of lime tang and salt
Everything was pretty yummy
I personally enjoyed my tacos and queso more at room temperature and cold; that is just me! There was nothing wrong with it warm. I did however find that there was more flavor at cooler temps for my taste buds and I enjoyed the consistency of the cheese more, it is very runny/liquidy when hot and thickens as it cools :))
I rate a 3 all around because it was pretty good, not the best, not otherworldly delicious; still very yummy and enjoyable! We plan on visiting again!

Great portions for an affordable price. Felt a little lost ordering as it was my first time, but there’s not a lot of options so that simplifies things. Definitely will stop in again sometime when I’m back in town.

Jalapeños is a staple of Ada and a must try rather your a local or in town for an event. The restaurant is similar to chipotle but with better more homemade tasting food. If you are lucky enough to attend on a Friday during lent then you have to try the fish tacos. But you can’t go wrong with any of there offerings.

The food is usually amazing I would give it 5 starts just on that. Unfortunately, you have to check you order before you leave the store. There have been 3 times, just yesterday in fact, that we will drive all the way home (15 minutes) and not have our chips and salsa I paid for. Yes we could have checked before we left, but we should not have to.

If you’re looking for a small town Chipotle look no further. In many aspects this place tops the restaurant it’s emulating. The burritos are larger. The menu has more options. It’s simply is a fantastic restaurant. The workers are always timely and friendly. The guacamole is delicious and so is the steak option for burritos and tacos. Great restaurant.

Usually great and no issues friendly staff normally. Had one experience with the only male employee i’ve ever seen working there who had an airpod in one of his ears and continued to ask me to repeat myself. No other employee had ever had an issue with hearing me so I am lead to believe it was due to his lack of attention.
