Wei-Ai Tai
Cozy, family-owned Chinese restaurant located in old downtown Burlingame. The Mongolian beef and general chicken were both well-seasoned and perfectly cooked. Friendly and efficient service. Not a lot of street parking spots, but there are several parking lots within a 5-minute walk.

Our friends visited this restaurant a year ago and when we came to San Francisco they wanted us to try it … we live in Utah so coming to San Francisco is a treat ……
We were not disappointed
It was delicious
So glad we met the owners and had a great meal
Totally would recommend!!!
We told them to come to SLC Utah to open a bistro

Nice restaurant on the main street. Comfortable ambient music and nice table waiting.
The food was very good! The spring rolls were one of the best I ever had. The spicy chicken was good a little bit above average.
1 less star only because it was not as cheap as expected. So if you think to have a fast and cheap you get only the first one.
Overall recommended.

Finally!! Somewhere that serves both sesame and orange chicken. As soon as it showed up to my door, I knew this was the Chinese delivery spot. The chicken was crisp yet saucy and packed with flavor. The fried rice was done exactly how you want it done. Definitely will be exploring more of the menu!!

I ordered the basil chicken lunch special. The flavor of the chicken was good, but there was very little chicken. Most of the basil chicken entree consisted of onions. It didn’t occur to me to take a picture of the onions that were left in the box until I ate all of the chicken. This was approximately half of the onions that were left! Additionally, the rice was not fresh. It looked like day old rice at best.

I’m not sure what the service procedure is for lunch, but I walked in hoping to get a table. I was given a menu at the door and had to place a to go order. I wasn’t offered a table and I assumed that there was no seating for lunch. When I returned to pick up my order, I saw that people had been seated since I had placed my order. My assumption was that they don’t want customers at the table ordering from the lunch menu and that they prepare lunch portions to go quite differently from the regular menu. Diner beware.

Owner not a very friendly guy. Lady serving food was very nice and knew owner had made me feel unwelcome. Food was good but with so many great Chinese restaurants, it’s hard to say I would return here. If anything to help support those working there because the owner/manager guy is someone who made me feel unwelcome

I had the Kung Pao Chicken. The portion was great and the taste was spot on. I just wished it was a little more spicy. The steamed rice I also ordered was good and easy to eat with the provided chopsticks (one of the only things I can use the chopsticks for), and I tend to judge the quality of the rice by my ability to do this. Great work across the board.

It was the customer service that made this place special. They noticed me right away, and when I specified I was going to be on my own, they promptly switched me to a warmer, inner bench seat. Great work all around.

Close to the airport, public transportation, and public (2 hour) parking.

I wish they were in Miami.

Calvin and team have been hard workers serving Burlingame for years. They are so flexible with your dietary needs, gluten free, low sodium, low fat etc. Just ask Calvin and he will remember. Disregard the negative comments, everyone has bad days but this is the best Chinese food in the area! Clean and delicious. That said, if you are looking for truly Cantonese food, go up Millbrae. This is healthy, potentially lower in oil place for Chinese food. Don’t go to hot Wok, this is so much better!!

I had a very unpleasant experience with the owner. After placing an online order, I noticed several bags on the table and began checking to see if one of them was mine. The owner immediately started shouting, “Don’t touch the food, don’t touch the food,” which felt unnecessarily rude. If touching the bags is an issue, it would be helpful to have a sign clearly stating, “Do not touch the plastic bags.”

Unfortunately, the experience didn’t improve with the food—it was awful. I wouldn’t recommend this place.
