I travel often and normally seek out Mexican cuisine.
I was absolutely blown away by every aspect of the experience.
The salsa was just right, flavor profile that excited my taste buds in anticipation of what was to come.
I order chicken del sol. The red sauce on the chicken was outstanding. I don’t know what they do at this restaurant but everything was out of this world.
I stopped in for a second time and the food was just as amazing as the first time.

Their food is definitely one of the best in town. People are friendly there and the cooks are great! Their fish soup is my favourite for sure. It is a special occasional food, and I am lucky enough to encountered it!

First visit and stopped by based on reviews and found out I went to school with the owner. Coming from Texas we were pleased with the salsa compared to what we have found in other restaurants. Great location, nice atmosphere, and a solid variety of options. Vegan available as well!

Complimentary chips and salsa were great; salsa tasted wonderful and chips were warm!
Main meals were not flavorful, or what the descriptions sounded like. Was not like any Mexican meals we had eaten before elsewhere. Meats seemed underseasoned, steak was mostly grissel, tons of iceberg lettuce, enchilada sauce seemed more like tomato sauce.
Was surprised based on the other reviews that said food was good.

The owner is always super nice and sweet. she always talks to you. Everyone that works there are super nice and friendly. Food is always so yummy and good quality and it’s made fresh everytime you order it. I always get a mix of fajita chicken and steak and salad and rice and beans. The hubby gets a mix of fajita ground beef and steak everything else the same as me. My son got the gumbo chicken and cheese quesadilla with a big side of rice. In my opinion this is the best Mexican food around and I tell her all the time she needs to build another one or move hers up where I live at. Me and my husband use to eat there a lot when we lived in Philippi so we moved out of state and everytime we’re in town we stop here.

We wanted to try something new so we went to margaritas, when we entered we were seated right away and the customer service was good… at first. The salsa & chips they gave us was ok, the salsa was very watery and was served in a styrofoam bowl the when we received our food it was all on paper plates … that you pick up at a grocery store. I’ve never seen anything like this before, when we tasted the food it was horrible. It was very bland tasted like nothing but oil and melted cheese. I thought the rice would at least have a spicy or salt flavor but nothing did; which was surprising for a Mexican restaurant. When we told the waiter/restaurant owner his attitude towards us changed drastically. He was upset that we wanted to only pay for the drinks & chips and leave. When we told him about the food we tried to be as polite as possible & respectful. He got offended and started arguing with us saying he cooked it him self, then said nothings wrong with it Then presumed to say “I’ll let it slide this time, but any other time you will pay for all that you ordered” even though we didn’t eat it and I respectfully asked for our check for what we did consume. What shocked me the most was when he brought back our check he was recording us with the flash on his phone! I would not recommend this place to anyone, as a young college student from Maryland with Hispanic family this place was a disappointment. Not only food wise but customer service and plane respect went out the window. If you want Hispanic food that’s even close to tasting real DO NOT GO THERE.

I was not terribly satisfied with my experience here. It was my first time at Margaritas after hearing decent things. On the positive side, our server was very nice, probably the best thing about the visit. My margarita on the rocks was warm (probably because it was served in a mug fresh out of the dishwasher, rather than a chilled glass), and the mix was overly sweet, nothing to write home about. I ordered a dinner special with a side of beans and received the wrong food twice. On the second time, I decided to just keep the food since I was hungry and closing time was approaching. Food was pretty bland and flavorless, which is unfortunate considering I am a huge fan of Mexican food and flavors. My girlfriend’s food was better, but still nothing special. Lastly, when I was trying to pay and leave, my server left the check and never came back to the table. After 30 minutes of waiting, I tracked another server down and paid. I was rather disappointed with my experience, and likely will not be coming back.

Horrible experience from sticking to the carpet to waiting for an hour for food. After dropping our son off at the university we thought a nice Mexican dinner would be great with a few margaritas. Boy were we wrong. The margaritas were so watered down there was no taste to them. While waiting the hour it took to get our food we ordered another basket of chips to go with guacamole dip and they were brought out as we were leaving. No apology, no adjustment to the bill just poor service for a place that only had 3 tables of dinners. Do not stop there.

We never had the opportunity to try their food. Once entering the building we were third in line. We’re patiently waited, the lady seated the two families ahead of us with out even acknowledging we were next in line. An additional 5-7 minutes past, still no acknowledgment. The couple behind us left which left 3 families in line behind us. Still waiting to be seated, a couple came to check out and a gentleman picked up his call in order, still no acknowledgment to anyone in line. We waited another 3-5 minutes then we left without having been acknowledged or able to try the food.
