I order the same strawberry açaí refresher every morning (without water or lemonade). This morning when I ordered 3 of them, they were almost clear and diluted with water. I asked for them to remake the drinks with just strawberry base and they tried to convince me that there was no water in the drinks. Then came the “manager” who didn’t even try to better the situation. Indifferent attitude from the manager and employees who did not even greet me at the opening of the window. On top of this, the drinks that they charge me an extra dollar for were not even filled to the top.

My husband and I ordered from drive thru on 08/08/25. It was a guy who took our order and I said “No ice” for my Hazelnut oat milk and 4 pumps of hazelnut syrup. When it was delivered to me by another lady, I noticed my drink had ice in it. So I reminded her about it. She visibly looked annoyed and said “if no ice, that means there will be more oat milk, is that what you want?”. After a brief exchange, she finally brought back the fixed drink. Even though she still greeted us, it was very passive aggressive. When my husband showed his gratitude after grabbing the drink from her, she wouldn’t look back and acknowledge him. Mind you they made a mistake on my drink. I am simply just giving them a chance to fix it. Please do not give customer’s attitudes over your own mistake.

Service was good, but the bathrooms are disgusting! This Dyson hand dryer may be eco-friendly, but the dirt is just gross.

Disgusting floors with an ant invasion by the indoor trash. They have 8 people here and half of them are leaning on the counter the other half are yelling having a ball. I can’t hear myself think because the music is blasting. So after paying $7 for a small breakfast sandwich I need to pack my work laptop up and head to my car to get some work done, since the employees are being overpaid to mess around and make noise rather than clean the store and create a good customer experience. What happened to Starbucks? It’s a mess!

I’ve been to this Starbucks before and have not had an issue. Today I walked in to snag a perfect bar and work for an hour. Upon bringing the perfect bar to register for purchase I was met with a very low energy drink employee. I greeted her without her greeting me. Once she exchanged her negative energy to me she rang me up for the perfect bar and then walked away to the back. The prompt on the pay screen wasn’t allowing me to pay so I had to wait 2 minutes for her to walk from prompt and acted like I was the one with the problem. It then charged me a $2 dollar tip which I then said that I wouldn’t tip someone with that kind of attitude. She then tells me that she can’t give me my money back because I already payed. I put 2 stars on this post because the manager was nice enough to stand up from her computer work in the seating area to help me. I hope they can find people to work there that actually care about customer service and providing positive customer experience.

I have been coming to this Starbucks for over 2 years and the service has just progressively gotten so much worse then what it used to be. There are maybe 3 people in the entire store that have great customer service. Everyone else is extremely rude to customers and truthfully do not care at all. I’ve had the days where I do get it’s super busy. I’ve waited at this Starbucks for 10-15 minutes for a mobile order I place 10 minutes before I show up. I understand that. But lately my orders have been messed up more often then not with no care in the world. Or if I have asked to get it fixed they give major attitude. Even today I said excuse me 3 times after getting my drink waiting by the counter for someone to acknowledge me to inform them my drink was incorrect & got ignored by 2 employees. I do get it was a busy morning, but don’t ignore your customers. I now feel as if i’ve wasted so much money at this location over the last 2 years for the service I have received. I’ve never complained, because I have worked in service for 8 years. But some of these employees just give not one care in the world to their job or how they treat the people they interact with. I will now be going to the other Starbucks here in Barrington, though it may be further from where I work, hopefully I will get better service.

This location is the best Ive ever been to. Their service is quick and the orders are always in stock and correct. Liam specifically is a warm, friendly professional that you can tell goes above and beyond by personalizing our interactions. Well done, well managed.

Staff is so freaking sweet! Today around 5pm I was greeted immediately coming in and everyone was working hard. The short young lady with the really short hair is such a sweet heart. All of these employees were outstanding. Definitely makes me want to support starbucks more 🙂 They really show appreciation to the first responders. Thank you!

I dont usually write reviews for bad service… but this is last time im visiting Starbucks on 14 and Lake Cook in Barrington.
Ordered a venti with an extra shot… was given a tall size. I returned it, they pour it into a venti cup with more ice and gave it back. I returned it, again, since it was supposed to have an extra shot. Gen Z barista goes around corner, takes the sticker off, and gives me the same cup back in 10 seconds. Not possible to remake any drink from scratch in 10 seconds. Extremely petty to be lied to about coffee.
Cook St Coffee is much better anyways and family owned.

I was having a rough morning when I went to Starbucks and a new barista who’s name is Kaitlyn greeted me with the warmest smile and was very helpful with figuring out my order. She was very patient and made my day much better! Thank you Starbucks!
