I recently placed an Uber Eats order from here and found this metal fragment (reminds me of part of a scouring pad) scraping the inside of my mouth as I ate some beef and broccoli.
All of this food and money went to waste as Uber doesn’t refund for this type of issue.

i’ve been sitting on this review for a while, but I need to just say it – the food is great, the restaurant itself is really gross looking. When I went to pick up my food, there was multiple tables with food still left over, what I think were scraps of chicken on the floor. I almost cancelled my order, but after a good twenty minute wait after driving over, I just wanted to eat. I will fully admit, I could have just come at a bad day! But, that just isn’t acceptable at any time.

I placed an order for one item for pickup. When I got there, there were a number of other sad looking people waiting for their order. One of the proprietors came out to tell a customer the item they ordered wasn’t available and when they asked to cancel their order, they refused and said that wasn’t possible because they had ordered online. I’m sorry, but that’s just the wrong answer. I continued to wait for my order and after 25 minutes after it was supposed to be ready, and still wasn’t, I canceled my order because I had ordered for pickup through Doordash. I won’t ever patronize this restaurant again. Besides being an unfriendly place towards customers when they’re unable to fill their orders, it’s kind of nasty and dirty inside, so…perhaps it was a good thing I was never able to get my order…

Puzzled by all the low reviews. During lunch, we got steamed meat dumplings, hot and sour soup (large), and a side of white rice- all for $13! They have great prices especially during lunch. Fast and friendly service, hot savory food, and nice ingredient quality. I highly recommend giving this place a chance!

Horrible. There was little to no flavor in the stir fried dishes we ordered (even the curry!) and the fried protein orders were all breading with no visible protein inside. Not exaggerating – see the photo attached. Such a sham.

Update 10/25/25: I love their hot and sour soup. Their satay is excellent but the chicken in garlic sauce lacked any substantial chicken even though I asked for extra. The chicken dumplings were awful. Lo mein was good but a bit greasy.
Update: 9/5/25: good, tasty food but full of MSG. Had the shakes after my last take out. To scared to order from there again.
Update 8/25/25: had a craving for hot and sour soup and although not the best it is the best in the Herndon Reston area. Reston has does not have a decent Chinese restaurant to speak of. The Satay tonoght was great. The Lo Mein was good but had no chicken as I had requested to be added.
Old review: Have eaten here multiple times with good results but tonight the small hot and sour soup container was half filled making it a mini soup. Found a large piece of something resembling a tooth but on further check it appears to be a piece of plastic. My dessert was suppose to be Mango Mousse but received cheesecake which I dislike. After finding whatever it was in my soup I will not be ordering from here again.

What Chinese serves chowmein without noodles, is this normal in the USA? they should change their description to fake Chinese food, that would be more fitting. I’m English and I’m offended on China’s behalf.
