The Monte Cristo is a DEEP FRIED sandwich. Just like a cheeseburger HAS CHEESE.
And ftr… shoestring fries ARE NOT curly fries.
And then you got RUDE when I said you were misrepresenting your menu.
Google IT!

The chicken friend steak was what I wanted most after being out of country so long and it did not dissapoint! The server kept our coffee full and hot, a great place to start your day!

Just moved to the area and have been picking random spots to try out in hopes to find something good. After running some errands I stumbled upon South Liberty. Walking in it was quiet and full of what are seemingly locals. My first impression was how clean everything is. Upon sitting at the bar I ordered a drink and checked out the food menu. I ordered the meatball sub and hamburger soup. I had a drink and by the time I was done my food was out. The soup was a 10/10 which was a pleasant surprise and the meatball sub was huge and I was surprised I finished it but it was too good. Service was great and friendly. Feels like a good welcoming neighborhood bar. I will definitely be back.

I would like to thank the owners and staff for making my husband’s 65th birthday a huge success. They went above and beyond to decorate and make his birthday. Thank you so much.

Amazing experience the chicken strips were delicious and crispy, the burger was even better, definitely recommend getting the tots!
Lemon drop was great!
Atmosphere was so energetic and friendly, very welcoming! They have pool tables as well and a live band was playing.

Great place to watch a live band, I just wish they had AMI so we could do trivia while we wait for the band to start.

Paid 30 bucks for a New York steak. Order medium, it was horrible it was so thin like the side of your little finger. My wife Order was horrible as well. The only thing that was good were the soda. Left a 2 dollar tip. And the waitress says come back again. Yeah right

First time visiting. Cool, friendly neighborhood bar. The service was prompt and friendly. The beer selection was a bit limited, but the food was very good. We had the patty melt and the fish and chips. Will plan on coming back.

I went there for karaoke with some friends one time, and it was amazing.
Went to go again last night, and it was a terrible experience from the get go. I arrived with two of my friends, and we were meeting another one at the bar. My two friends are in their late twenties and late thirties. The security guy asked for our IDs, and after our younger friend walked away, we offered to show him our IDs and he said. “No, that’s okay. I really only needed to see hers”. It was kind of funny, but the way he said it was insulting. We really should’ve left then. We were looking for our friend that was supposed to be there as well, so we walked towards the smoking area to figure out where they were/where to get settled. There was a group of people standing around the bar, so there was absolutely no reason for this. The bartender came from behind the bar and walked up to us. He (very rudely) asked
“Do you want a drink or not?” My friend responded with “not at the moment”. He then had an attitude and before walking away said “or what then”…
We left immediately and went to the Southside speakeasy with better atmosphere, better service, and better DRINKS. Worst experience I’ve ever had in a bar. And I’m super bummed because the karaoke there is amazing. Such a shame, cause I’m never going there again. And I’ll be warning all of my friends.
