We live locally and were staying near Lyndhurst for the weekend as we were going to an event.
We decided to get a takeaway on the way through in Lyndhurst.
We ordered it online on the way there and went in to collect it and took it onto our accommodation which was 10 minutes away.
I don’t like to complain but
this was the worst food looking Indian food I have ever had and tasted. We had a chicken korma and a chicken passanda.
It was watery, and tasteless and the chicken was definitely not fresh. It was discoloured, brown, crusty and chewy. The sauce was tasteless liquid.
We also had a peshwari naan bread that had very little coconut in it and tasteless and part of it was still doughy. The pilau rice was also tasteless. None of the food had any taste at all and it was so disappointing. The food was inedible and I hadn’t eaten that day either! My husband just ate his because he was so hungry. He’s not one to complain as he will eat anything but he said it was awful. We don’t get away very much and could have chosen to eat anywhere in Lyndhurst. We wish we had got a pizza from the forage.
The only positive thing was the poppadoms… That was tasty and fresh and ironically it was free as we didn’t order it!
I did email the restaurant the next day asking for them to get back to me and requesting a refund but so
far have had no response.
I can’t believe anyone can give this place a good rating and how it has 4.5 stars out of 5.
I want my money back as we spent £25 on inedible food.
I was worried my husband was going to be really unwell the next day from the chicken.
Do not recommend at all.

Excellent. The front of house was 10/10 very attentive and kept the table clear and learns your name from booking! Perfect!
The food was fantastic. I don’t like changing my Indian restaurant but I’m so glad I did this time, Well done to the chef(s).
With such a fantastic meal and service I was growing worried the bill was going to be massive but it was actually quite acceptable!! Definitely visit again as soon as I can.

Great place to eat Indian food in Lyndhurst. Good amount of food for reasonable price. Ambience was really nice and staff were very welcoming and polite. Food were mouth-watering with good after-taste.
Definitely recommend this joint for good, original Indian dining experience!

Do not miss this indian restauranr whenever you are here. We have enjoyed their service and food. Don’t miss their naans. The portions are big. Mango lassi is great. Lemon rice … ohhh very delicious. Just look at our bowls. yum yum. Oh yes. their starter to share just remember to order it

The service was good and staff friendly. The food was unfortunately not good. I agree with the recent review below. The food was a strange colour, tasteless and the chicken was chewey and dry. The sauces looked like they came from jars and the atmosphere was more like a cafe than restaurant and almost completely empty. It was the worst curry I have ever had. Regret having to write this before the staff were so nice.
