Well, it’s another adventure, but this time closer to home. Slim Chickens offers a menu close to that other chicken place, but I can say, after having the tenders here,,,Slim Chicken beat them hands down..why? No over use of salt, pepper or spices. Clean eating & brought out to us. Fried mushrooms are pretty good, while the Peach Tea needs a bit more sweetness, nothing I couldn’t live without at this point.
The dining room was very clean & wasn’t busy with photos, pictures, etc. So Slims it is, hot, juicy and served with a smile.

Welcome Slim Chickens to Okeechobee! Fresh hand breaded perfectly crispy chicken strips made of real chicken. You don’t find smashed mystery parts pressed, formed and glued together here. Great Fries & Chicken Tenders and Cayanne Ranch Chicken Sandwich. Love all their dipping sauce choices.

This was my 2nd time going to Slim’s and the amazing gentleman,his name is Ian, at the register, had the most amazing attitude. Very genuine,kind and courteous and attentive! The whole place was very clean and inviting. But I believe that I will be back because of that young man Ian (I hope I spelt his name correct) I give him 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐✨ for him alone!!! And the food is pretty good there too!

Just left the new Slim Chickens here in Chobee! It was great, I had the 6 wing dinner and upgraded to the fried okra! I got the strawberry cheesecake dessert for later. Served in a sealed mason jar. the mgr came to our table and was very accommodating. It’s clean and I’m glad that we have a new chicken place in town!

GREAT grilled chicken salads. And good light Italian dressings to go with them.
Loved grilled chicken Mac n cheese. I redeemed my free desert in a jar brownie & choc pudding & heath bar candy & whipped cream. It was AWESOME!! Husband likes the grilled chicken mixed greens salad. They have excellent chocolate milkshakes too. We shared one of those last time. And we had the fantastic fried okra the 1st time we went too. I now have $4 in rewards points too to use next time.

Visited their first weekend of opening on a Saturday night. Was through the drive thru with our food in hand within 10 minutes. Very fast service and super friendly staff. Food was hot and fresh. The only reason they are getting 4 stars in one of my wings and one of my tenders were literally the size of a french fry. For $16 I would think I would get full size items, not crumbs. Overall good experience

Ordered from there for the first time. The food was cold , and it looked old as if it had been sitting for 6 hours. The quality was hardly palatable. So far, this is at the top of my list to never eat again. Someone needs to check on management at this location.. Food should never reach the customer in this condition. I’m adding a picture. Yes, some is eaten, and halfway thru, I just couldn’t, and I felt a review was needed. Those mushrooms were so grease soaked they were goo.
