Got the bobby q and a couple of drinks. Food is incredibly cheap, but that quality is still amazing. The staff was very friendly and I can definitely see myself becoming a regular here. The scenery both inside and the back patio is absolutely gorgeous and could see people coming simply to take photos here. Overall a great experience and I will be back.

There are many great places to eat here in Modesto. The Brighter Side is one of them and has stood the test of time!! I ordered the Genora sandwich that had roast beef, avocado, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheese. It’s a warm sandwich and very delicious. The people here are very friendly. I highly recommend Brighter Side! I will definitely return for lunch here. BRING CASH . They don’t accept cards.

Was in the mood for sandwiches and decided to give Brighter side a try. Very cute and timey establishment with polite customer service. Food came out fast, we got The Dean and the Skye sandwiches. Both were very good and decently priced. They also have unique bottled sodas and chips. Cash only business.

We have been to Brighter Side before and have always had excellent food and service. I enjoy the atmosphere and like eating on their patio and listening to the water feature. They have friendly service, and the food quality is excellent! I enjoy the Christine sandwich with added Turkey… I remember to take a picture half way through the meal. The salads are excellent too. Reasonably priced and healthy!

This funky little place is the bomb! The sandwiches are great, hearty, and imaginative. The owner is a character in the best sense of the word. On 3/5/2024, there was only ONE item on the menu that was over $10. I didn’t think anyone would believe me so I took a picture. They have a sweet back patio. And the soup was killer good too!

It’s a lovely rustic space with a groovy vibe. When you walk up the scent of the jasmine blooming all along the side roof sets the tone and relaxes you. Owner is kind, food is delicious, and served up quickly. Love sitting out on the patio near the waterfall. My favorite sandwich is the Anne, but they’re all yummy. Come for the food stay for the serenity. Oh and say hi to the cat.

If you feel like having a sandwich, this is the place to go in Modesto. Each sandwich is freshly made. There are a lot of choices so it took a while for me to decide. I had a vegetarian choice. It had lots of avocado and sprouts. My husband had the Nicholas, like a Ruben, and was also pleased. We’ll be back.
