I stopped by Casa 13urger in the LES after seeing a lot of hype around their smash burgers. A lot of people online seem to love this spot and say it’s one of the better smash burgers in the neighborhood.
I tried the special smashburger inspired by the Big Mac. It was good and well put together, but I’m not convinced it’s worth the $14 plus tax. For that price, it didn’t really stand out compared to other smash burgers around the city. Next time I’d probably just get the double for $10, which feels like the better move.
Overall, solid burger and worth trying once, just a bit overpriced in my opinion.

Service is quick, the staff is great, and the burgers are delicious. It definitely feels more like a takeout place. The space itself looks a bit unfinished, but don’t let the unfinished look fool you, this place is turning out seriously good smash burgers.
We went for a double with fries and it was spot on. The house sauce is legit, the burger has those crispy edges with a juicy center, and the fries are perfectly crispy with a solid portion size.
It’s right off the J train, which makes it the perfect grab-and-go burger spot. And the fact that they’re open until 2 a.m. it’s ideal for late-night food after hitting the bars.

Casa burger makes pretty good food and it’s in a good spot. I had the Western Burger, Chicken Sandwich, Fries, And Vanilla Milkshake. The burger was stacked. I like how the chicken sandwich was drenched in hot honey and they mayo was flavorful. The fries were crispy. The milkshake had a good consistency. The atmosphere is small but they still add their own flair to the space. Service was good. Plus the playlist is amazing here.

This is nyc, smash burgers are everywhere. The million dollar question is, is it worth your time to coming here? The answer depends on if you were near by. I wouldn’t come here just to have a smash burgers and fries , it an above average burger that won’t blow you out of this world but it can give you a good filling. This place is small so don’t expect to have any seats waiting as it is mostly setup for take out. Now the honey chicken burger was great if it wasn’t for the ridiculous expensive price at $16 dollar. No chicken burger is worth $16 dollars, as good and juicy as it was, it tastes like $9 dollars at best. The real star of the show wasn’t any burger but the shakes. We had a strawberry shake and it was out of this world good for its price of $6. The fact that I’m pretty close by, I would come again but i wouldn’t make the trip just to come here if I wasn’t walkable by me.

This restaurant was located right outside of the Bowery train station on our way to our Airbnb. Reviewed seemed promising so we stopped in late to place an order to take back to our Airbnb with us. Not only were we missing a whole burger on our order, the pickles tasted like they had rubbing alcohol in them. Not saying that they did, but they did not taste right at all. The fries were delicious and so was the milkshake that we ordered, but the burgers tasted like they were cooked with spoiled meat.
Maybe we just got a bad batch, but we only ate two bites of our burgers before throwing them away. The lady that was at the counter that took our order was an absolute sweetheart, and after my fiancé asked her for a side of pickles because I’m a big pickle lover, she made sure to deliver.
The restaurant was clean and all the stuff was nice.
They do have a very small dining area, so prepare prepared to take your food to go.

The cook was out of the restaurant, and the waitress only went to look for him after we had already paid and a significant amount of time had passed, which was very frustrating. The quality of the burger was awful — honestly, I would have enjoyed a McDonald’s burger more. On top of that, dirty glassware and other unclean items showed a clear lack of hygiene. Overall, a very disappointing experience.

Very good smash burger! However place is too small, hope they’ll expand soon. Our clothes were smelling like a cook’s uniform.
The onion rings were amazing and I’m not a fan of these. The French fries were crispy and stayed that way all the time during the meal. It’s nice they have beer on sale.
I recommend the double burger.

Everyone says this is the best smashburger in NYC. And I have to agree! Don’t sleep on the fried chicken sandwich dunked in hot honey! They have the best crispy fries. If you’re craving breakfast, they have a very delicious, simple breakfast burger that has scrambled eggs and a crispy hashbrown. Always get a milkshake!
