Great place, great atmosphere and good food. Some of the food portions are a little skimpy. The octopus appetizer had very little octopus in it but it was very delicious. The halibut special was very bland and lacked flavor. It was a decent size piece of fish with virtually no flavor and a couple of beans on the plate. Definitely won’t order that again. Drinks seem to lack some alcohol and for the price I would have expected them to be larger as well. Our server also seemed to be very focused on certain tables. We waited at least 10-15 minutes before our drink orders were taken and we were finished with our drinks before our food order was taken. We were never asked how everything was. I had to stop our server on her way by just to order another round of drinks. Overall the experience wasn’t great, just ok. You can get there by boat and they have dock service. I highly recommend reservations as they get very busy and they have live music which is nice. I’ve been here before and it’s always been good for the most part but this time definitely wasn’t the best. I will post pictures once I get them from my gf.

A wonderful dinner by the water at Waypoint Restaurant.
After cocktails, we started with tuna crudo, a roast artichoke salad, and a grilled octopus salad, followed by the catch of the day, striped bass. For dessert, almond tiramisu and a pistachio cake.
Everything was absolutely delicious! Service was outstanding.

What a wonderful down to earth waterfront dining experience. The halibut special and drinks were a perfect combo. Add the late afternoon sun lit soft colored vista and… Too bad the musician was a no show. Several more visits, musicians showed. All good. Had the seafood pot and fish and chips. Yes, pricey, but worth it!

Love the atmosphere and location. I was disappointed with the service and food. Everything is pricey for food that is not excellent. We don’t mind paying more because of the beautiful location but the service was also lacking. Our server never introduced herself and everything we needed was never offered; water, another cocktail etc. The octopus appetizer was good but it shouldn’t be called an octopus appetizer when there was hardly any octopus in it. Also, the halibut special was not that special. There was no flavor or anything to add to the dish. It was literally a piece of halibut on the plate. Probably won’t be returning.

Delicious spot near greenport! Food amazing, views are outstanding and the atmosphere is just so relaxing. Restaurant has fire pits and great outdoor dining area! There is also an outdoor bar area with TVs! We ordered skirt steak, seafood ravioli and shrimp bucatini! Outdoor section is also dog friendly!!

Waypoint was absolutely amazing! I was out on LI visiting friends for the weekend and they took me there. We started with drinks and apps on the water by the fire pits. We were able to see the boats coming and going and enjoyed the beautiful end of summer weather. We moved to a table after an hr and proceeded to order dinner. Everything was delicious!!!! I wish I could give Waypoint 10 stars!!! Our server Ashley was top notch could not have been any more attentive! Anne, the manager, went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect, not only for our table, but for the entire restaurant. We had a great experience and I would highly recommend the water front spot!!!!!

I Love Long Island and this beautiful Restaurant! I could sit there outside all Day! The waitstaff is wonderful, The food is delicious and the prices are what they are if you would like to sit outside at a beautiful place on Long Island with a gorgeous view! It is worth every penny every time I go!

SOOOOO PRETTY!!! The ambiance GORGEEEEE, food DELISH, drinks AMAZEEEEE all served with a side of LIVE MUSIC~~~ DEF RECOMMEND!!! It was our first time here! Just got back from Mohegan Sun on the ferry from Orient Point. We are in contract on a house on the north fork so wanted to check out a cool local restaurant while in the area. This restaurant DID NOT disappoint. SOOOO HAPPPPY we came and found this place!!! First I ordered the lavender something (forget the name ♀️) martini. We had the tuna crunch and clam chowder soups as apps. Then split the branzino with a side of broccolini. Finished with chocolate gelato. SOOOOO GOOOOD! They also have a really cool bar and space to reserve to hang by individual fire pits. I always love these hidden gems! Can’t wait to live here as we will BE BACK!!! ~~~
