Twice the flavor at half the price. Last week I took my son to one of those trendy chain BBQ joints and it wasn’t what we expected. True Texas had those chain stores beat hands down! The brisket was tender and smoky with a beautiful crust and the perfect smoke ring. I’d much rather stop off here and enjoy the flavor on my way home than to drive several miles out of my way to spend a hundred dollars on BBQ that’s less than desirable. Even the sweet tea is just on the verge of being sweet without being overpowering.

AMAZING BRISKET!!! This was my second time here. We both got the 2 meat plates. Fatty brisket & ribs. I had the collard greens which were good & he had the creamed corn and potato salad! Everything was super yummy! Love the pickles as well. This is definitely in our top picks for places to grab from in town! They put boxes around the kiosk so there are no issues setting the screen to order anymore

I had one of the best brisket sandwiches I’ve had in forever! I just love this place’s food and don’t even get me started on the banana pudding and the peach cobbler out of this world! The stand alone kiosk that you order from in front of the restaurant is super easy and has great pictures so you can see what your actually getting! My order was finished within minutes and I was greeted at the window by a beautiful and sweet lady named Sarah! I got a loaded chopped brisket potato and it was phenomenal! True Texas bbq is my first quick spot for lunch.

St.Louis ribs are seasoned well with a sweet seasoning and very tender but not fall off the bone, very tasty. Fatty brisket is tender with mild smoke flavor. I ordered delivery via Door Dash and the order was missing the condiments and sauce that I selected.

Love HEB barbecue so much! Very accessible and great for getting a fast meal after grabbing the fixings for a cooked one (or just grabbing a fast well-made meal). The attendants are super helpful and the barbecue made fast. Always delicious!

This has to be the worst baked potato and brisket I have ever gotten did brisket are orders sliced for got chopped dried out burnt the potato taste like it has been sitting there for a while. I will not go back to this location
