Most importantly, the food was SUPER GOOD! I tried some curry houses nearby, but this one was unbelievably fantastic. I didn’t expect it to be this good. We order one appetizer, two curries with rice and a dessert. The appetizer and the curries were really delicious, and the portion was LARGE! I think one curry should be enough for me and a friend. I didn’t really like the pudding (dessert) because of the spice, but I guess the pudding itself was well-made.
The guy said it opened last July, so it’s still quite new. Overall, the vibe was cool, the food was really good, and the price was pretty good as well! HIGHLY RECOMMEND! This will be my go-to option with friends and family from now on.
We ordered momos, rotis, and malai kofta. The momos were not authentic Tibetan at all, despite what other reviews suggest. The worst part, however, was the rotis – they were extremely hard and difficult to eat. When we asked for yogurt or pickle, we were told they had run out of both. We had to later simply discard some of the rotis.
Throughout the meal, it felt like he was just waiting for us to leave. We would have completely understood if he had simply told us they were closing early. But the attendant’s curt behavior, combined with the poor quality of the rotis, left a bad taste in our mouths.
Chowmien: Perfectly stir-fried with just the right balance of spice and seasoning. The noodles were springy, flavorful, and packed with veggies comforting and satisfying.
Momo: Soft, juicy, and filled generously. they were bursting with authentic Tibetan taste. The dipping sauce added a wonderful kick.
Tingmo: Light, fluffy, and beautifully layered. It paired so well with the curries and side dishes, absorbing flavors without getting soggy.
Overall, the food felt fresh, hearty, and true to Tibetan culinary traditions. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy delicious and soulful Tibetan dishes!
The spicing was complex and subtle – so often saag pannier is just planned and this was anything but. We also had delicious vegetable momo, Beautifully presented, with for once the wrapping, not overwhelming, the filling. The tofu chili was very tasty and the garlic naan was the best I’ve ever had.
In addition, we were warmly welcomed, and cheerfully tended to, despite the fact that we had a two-year-old who was more interested in playing with his train then eating. They were very tolerant and sweet to us.
The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere. The food is outstanding. The people are so kind – oh and there’s a parking lot. What more can you want?
