This Japanese restaurant is very popular in Torrance. When we visited in the evening, there were always many customers waiting outside to be seated. A variety of Japanese foods such as udon noodle, sushi, tempura, and skewers are served here, as well as alcohol. It should be considered a Japanese izakaya! There are many combinations on the menu. We ordered the pork cutlet and sashimi and beef teriyaki and sashimi dinner, which already included white rice and miso soup. We also ordered some Japanese skewers. The dinner portions were definitely generous. The taste was decent (but not top-notch), and it was basically worth the price! The environment of the restaurant is nice. Although there are many people, the seats are still comfortable, and the waiters’ service is efficient. I saw that many customers were parents with their children. It should be because this place is suitable for family gatherings!

Stopped by chance. Nice little place. Well run. Crowded but not overly loud. Food was excellent. Had chicken katsu in a bento. And sushi. I’ll definitely be back.

I was not feeling well and was craving traditional Udon with tempura. Although almost at closing time, they took my to-go order and it was perfectly done and exactly what I needed! Very kind staff and delicious Japanese food.

My husband and I really enjoyed lunch here! Great service and food! Portions were larger than we expected, and everything was delicious. It reminded us of izakayas we used to eat at in Japan!

A bit disappointing today, grandma wanted sushi and unfortunately we discovered they do not serve sushi at 3pm on Saturdays. I ordered oyako donburi but I swear there was no egg in the bowl. Seemed they forgot about us and had to ask for a check. Had remembered better experiences in the past.

Nice comfortable traditional Japanese restaurant with wide range of items and combinations, from sashimi and sushi, to tempura and teriyaki, to different types of udons, sukiyaki and yosenabe hotpot’s. Many different kinds of Japanese beers and sake.
Fun and Dizzying Signs everywhere make you feel like you are in a shop in Tokyo. Ha ha.

Used to be a great place to eat. Large quality to accompany the large prices.(combos)
But the quality was very “POOR”! What happened? Worst fish ever had. Oily and not fresh tasting. This is not good Japanese food.

There aren’t a lot of old school Japanese restaurants that serve the variety of food that they do from teriyaki entrees to udon to oyako-don to sushi to yakitori so it’s a nice way to enjoy some good food from a time gone by. We had a wide selection of food we did family style and everything was solid. Also, outdoor dining as of Feb. 4th

The food was pretty decent, I enjoyed their pork cutlet curry. The servers were very welcoming and great. But they have different menu for lunch and dinner, so basically you can only order their lunch section during lunch time so no dinner plates for lunch kind of thing.

It feels like it’s gotten more expensive over time, but I’ve been coming here for 20 years. It’s one of my all-time favorite restaurants, and I’d be genuinely sad if it ever closed. The staff are always very friendly. While it may not feel particularly modern or spotless, it offers a comforting, homey atmosphere. The food is also consistently delicious.
