Upon arrival the staff were friendly and we were seated immediately. After that service fell apart. It took them 3 tries to bring us the correct drinks and to remember the queso. When we got our food it was just okay. Everything was drenched in a sauce and soggy. I will say that the tamales were the best part of the meal.

My friend and I went in to play slots we had about 6 Hispanic men sitting in booth behind us talking very rude ,saying nasty things about my friend and i.let it go until we were ready to leave (I stood looked at the men and said,in spanish)hi my name is angel jimenez .yes your wrong as I pointed at each man .I then went to counter told the owner/waitress you let your works talk about customers this way ? She didn’t ask what they said .didn’t have to everyone in restaurant heard .she started telling them to be quit .

I have been going to Buen for 25+ years starting back when they had the small location by the high school. I have lived in Chicago and now live in NC and this is still my favorite restaurant. We are always treated well when we go! The Chile con queso is the best I’ve ever had, and everything I’ve ever tried on the menu has been enjoyable. This place will always have a special place in my heart!

The food is ok if it’s warm. It’s authentic Mexican food so that’s a plus but the service lacks much to be desired. Is usually not busy. There is a room downstairs for larger events. The outdoor wraparound deck seats people with views of woods.

2 star because the food was hot and lunch specials were cheap and the one server was nice. Chips were bitter maybe fried in bad oil or just old, salsa was strange and tasted old as well. Floors were filthy and the place smelt bad. My burrito was okay, but the chicken inside it was bland and of a weird texture.

We had a party of 10, but the service was great. However, food was….food. It wasn’t horrible (but wasn’t that good either) and the prices were fair. They would be really good if all you want is drinks or simple dishes like tacos or burritos.
