Okay so let me just say… this place right here?? Penny’s Cafe is that girl. I don’t even know where to begin because everything I had was fire, but that fried chicken??? Absolutely beat me up and tucked me in. Like I took one bite and had to sit in silence for a second. That chicken had me reconsidering every other meal I’ve ever had in life. Crispy, juicy, seasoned like somebody’s grandma had their whole soul in the kitchen. It did not come to play. It came to whoop some ass—and mine was first.
The vibe inside is super chill, the people are so friendly, and the food tastes like home—if home had a full-time chef who didn’t miss. Portions? Big. Prices? Fair. Flavor? Out of this world. I swear I was full but still mad when the plate was empty.
If you’re thinking about going, just go. Don’t even hesitate. You will not regret it. Penny’s is that place. Just be prepared to fall in love and possibly dream about that chicken later. I know I did.

This place is cozy and the food tastes good.
Depending on the day the buffet is different.
Had lunch one day and went back for breakfast the next. The pancakes were too small for my liking, but other than that it was a great experience.

Wow, I got the 3 egg plate with hash browns and bacon, ordered a side of bacon and hash browns. I told the waitress I wanted the egg whites cooked done, yolks runny, no egg snot. I like to mix my eggs, and hash browns together. Well as I was mixing them I find egg snot in them. This I can not eat, I set it as far on the counter as I can. Hoping she would walk by and ask about it! Nope, not one time, I ate the bacon, and toast. I asked for the check, I kept looking at the plate with the eggs and hash browns with not a bit taken from it. Finally she asked if something was wrong, I told, and showed her the egg snot, and all she said was I told her you wanted no snot. Did not offer to fix it or not charge me for the hash browns and eggs. Just it’s $17 and change, that is what got me, paying for what I stated 3 times no snot in my eggs!!! The bacon was perfect.

Food was delicious. They even had grits, bacon, toast and eggs. I’ll be stopping by next time I go visit my cousins again. ❤️ from Florida

The staff was nice and friendly. The food was fair. They do have a ‘seafood buffet’ on Friday but the only seafood was boiled shrimp. Definitely not worth $26.95. Hamburger steak was ok. The mashed potatoes were so good. Their ‘salad’ was shredded lettuce and 2 thin slices of tomatoes. Might try again for breakfast.

The service was great, the boiled seafood was pretty good. But I went on a Friday during Lent for the All You Can Eat Seafood Buffet and they ran out of boiled crabs pretty early. I basically spent $35.00 to eat 4 crabs because I don’t care for crawfish and can’t eat fried foods. I wish I’d been warned that they were running low on them when I got there, because I’d have known to go somewhere else. They ran out of almost everything but crawfish by 6:30. But I’d go again, just not for the buffet.
