Van gogh art work is a very nice touch.
Decent experience, okay good. A few observations – the bar area is very understaffed. The bartenders there tried their best to serve everyone well – but it was way too much for 2 people to manage.
I had the blackened season salad – lettuce was a bit whithered, salmon was in my opinion, burnt – not blackened.
Food quality was not so great.
Location and set up is very convenient – liked the charging stations as well – super convenient.
The restaurant was extremely understaffed, with maybe one waiter and one or two team members handling the kitchen and register while trying to serve a packed restaurant.
Even though the menu had several items, the waiter assertively told me all they had was eggs and a protein. I had no choice but to settle.
The location is unsanitary and raises serious health concerns, particularly because travelers have so few options that service and cleanliness seem to be treated as optional.
I recently had the misfortune of dining at Hubbard Inn in the Chicago airport. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of awful. The chili, which I had been looking forward to, was absolutely disgusting. It was so bad that I could only manage one bite before throwing it away.
To make matters worse, the customer service from the kitchen staff was incredibly rude. It was clear that they didn’t care about their customers or the quality of their food. I would strongly advise anyone traveling through Chicago to avoid this place at all costs. There are countless other options in the airport that offer much better food and service.
Stopped in to grab a bite to eat for breakfast on a layover, choosing to take a seat at the bar area. I was told the bar area is only for those who plan to drink booze, and I was not one of them, but I was allowed to stay since it wasn’t that busy.
Ended up ordering the berry pancakes with a glass of water, as they do not serve coffee here. Total only came to a little over $22.
The pancakes were pretty tasty, came with butter syrup and blueberries. And while I did need to ask for them, they also come with your choice of bacon or sausage. Guess they updated the menu recently and the choice of meat use to be extra, but not any more.
Service was pretty quick and friendly, made for a nice time to pass a layover that extended an extra hour.
