Terrible. I paid 30$ for a cold inlet and frozen tater tots. I get up charging at the airport but wow at least serve decent food. Tables were dirty and they never called me for my order, so it sat.

First time at Hubbard Inn at the airport.

Van gogh art work is a very nice touch.

Decent experience, okay good. A few observations – the bar area is very understaffed. The bartenders there tried their best to serve everyone well – but it was way too much for 2 people to manage.

I had the blackened season salad – lettuce was a bit whithered, salmon was in my opinion, burnt – not blackened.

Food quality was not so great.

Location and set up is very convenient – liked the charging stations as well – super convenient.

“It seems you’re correct.” That’s what the waiter said when I pointed out red ketchup under my food. The plate had not been cleaned at all, and it looked like the kitchen was putting food on top of old plates from other customers.

The restaurant was extremely understaffed, with maybe one waiter and one or two team members handling the kitchen and register while trying to serve a packed restaurant.

Even though the menu had several items, the waiter assertively told me all they had was eggs and a protein. I had no choice but to settle.

The location is unsanitary and raises serious health concerns, particularly because travelers have so few options that service and cleanliness seem to be treated as optional.

Your company markets specialty coffee on the board in airport. Yet when a customer comes in to order a cup a coffee. This woman refuses to serve coffee because I am not ordering food or alcohol. This is discrimination. Rudest customer service I have experienced. When i kindly asked for her name she refused because she knows she is going against company policy. Not to mention your company is now participating in false advertising. I was kind and polite throughout the entire interaction. She was not. I suggest this company consider their hires more carefully.

Food was good, on the pricey side but understandable given that it’s in an airport. Service was good too!

Hubbard Inn: A Disappointing Airport Experience

I recently had the misfortune of dining at Hubbard Inn in the Chicago airport. Unfortunately, my experience was nothing short of awful. The chili, which I had been looking forward to, was absolutely disgusting. It was so bad that I could only manage one bite before throwing it away.

To make matters worse, the customer service from the kitchen staff was incredibly rude. It was clear that they didn’t care about their customers or the quality of their food. I would strongly advise anyone traveling through Chicago to avoid this place at all costs. There are countless other options in the airport that offer much better food and service.

Surrounded by dozens of drinkers at 10 in the morning.

Stopped in to grab a bite to eat for breakfast on a layover, choosing to take a seat at the bar area. I was told the bar area is only for those who plan to drink booze, and I was not one of them, but I was allowed to stay since it wasn’t that busy.

Ended up ordering the berry pancakes with a glass of water, as they do not serve coffee here. Total only came to a little over $22.

The pancakes were pretty tasty, came with butter syrup and blueberries. And while I did need to ask for them, they also come with your choice of bacon or sausage. Guess they updated the menu recently and the choice of meat use to be extra, but not any more.

Service was pretty quick and friendly, made for a nice time to pass a layover that extended an extra hour.

The nachos (From which I omitted the meat) were okay, just okay. The staff was friendly. I liked the suspended artwork and aesthetic

Great ambiance with eye-catching Vangogh artwork. The place could get busy depending on gate traffic. The bartenders are super friendly—shoutout to Tracey for the awesome service! The food could use a bit more attention, but overall, it’s a solid spot to unwind before your flight at the B Gates in Midway Airport.

I wanted to eat before my flight. I asked about menu items due to allergies. With 30 minutes before my flight, the host/server disappears to the kitchen and doesn’t come back, it’s now 10 minutes before my flight as I watch her laugh and joke with the women in the kitchen, even looking back at me a few times, and who seemed to have been in a mood to begin with when I walked up and she ignored me while her and the man were on their phones in said kitchen. So I get to catch my flight with no food now and it’s sad, because I would have left a sizable tip and more as I’ve worked in the service industry and I am a restaurant owner. I didn’t even get to order a drink. I respect others in service industry but as a busy location I’d expect better service and actually completing service and feeding potential customers, but that’s just my opinion and experience. Better luck next time perhaps.
