We stopped in this evening to give this place a try, being our first time we got a couple things on the menu and everything was very good. The hot sauce had a little bite to it. That was well within reason and very eatable. Also, they serve warm. The service was excellent and we enjoyed our visit.

This is our favorite spot in Deer Park. I’m big on the type or tortillas restaurants serve, and truth be told, I HAVEN’T found a better tortilla in the Deer Park area, if you know you know, lol. I want to see some flour on my tortilla. I don’t want a flat pasty one. This place has the best flour tortilla in the Deer Park area! This is a family owned spot and we love what the owner has done with the place. #1 on our top favorite spots in the neighborhood.

The food was great but the service was not good! Waitress never came back to check on us for coffee refill and there was no paper towels in ladies restroom and when I brought It to the attention of the guy waiter that works there he acted like it was no big deal as if we were bothering him ! His attitude over all was terrible, never smiled, no greeting as if he was being forced to be there today!

Came here on the glowing reviews of the community. While I did like the community come together after the news that they got scammed from a big order, I think it was a little overhyped. Firstly, staff are truly nice and helpful. Food, depending on what you get can be improved. It seems they shine for breakfast items and it starts to show that in the dinner menu that’s where things need some work. The times I went, the fajitas were inconsistent with one visit actually being delicious while the other times they were okay and well honestly for the price don’t expect the big juicy ones like from pappasitos. The salsa for the fajitas were delicious. The chicken dishes though is another story. By the time it’s dinner the chicken is so dried out and very tame flavor, making the enchiladas AND flautas not very tasteful. I would like to see improvement in those. When asked about their chicken process they mention it is fresh chicken but it is prepared in morning. I think that process can be improved for true fresh and flavorful Chicken.
The alcoholic drinks were not too bad though they didn’t have pina coladas, and were limited on Mexican beer. I have yet to see a menu that really makes them stand out that’s besides basic items but true staple items that make them be a “hit spot”. I’ll try again if I’m ever on this side of town again but later down the road when they refine somethings.

Lived in Houston my whole life and this is hands down my go to Mexican spot! The food is like no other. Their enchilada sauce has a unique taste to it that I haven’t found anywhere else. No comparison!!The service is always great. The servers always are SO nice and attentive. Another thing I love here is the food comes out so quick. I can go on and on about this place! Thank you El Rancho for amazing food and lovely customer service!

I have been a customer for decades at the old Pasadena location , so sad they closed . But very excited when I found out they were opening again in Deer Park. Same great staff, fresh food and friendly service. Wide variety of menu items for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. Everything just has that old family recipe flavor. After 2 months with no migas my daughter said it’s like going back to grandmas house . The new place is great , a lot bigger and very colorful. Parking lot is definitely bigger. Glad to have our weekend breakfast back !! So happy for this family , continuing the long time tradition, just in a new location .

We are in Deer Park about once a month, this is the first time we’ve noticed this place and it’s been open for about three months. We stopped in imtoday to give them a try as good Mexican food Restaurants in Houston are hard to find. The salsa had a nice kick to it and the chips were crisp. I almost passed over the number 11 because all I read was pork chops and then I went back and read that it was two pork chops cubed up and stewed with jalapeños and tomatoes. Initially, I expected cubed pieces of pork chops with stewed tomatoes, and jalapeños over the top of it, what I got instead was the cubed pork chops in a ranchero type sauce. It was more like a soup. the pork chops were excellent and the soup broth was nice and spicy. So even though it wasn’t what I expected, it was still a delightful meal. The refried beans were good. The guacamole was good. All the sides were exactly as I expected. I asked the owner if they had hot sauce to go along with stuff, she offered up a green tomatillo salsa and said that she had heard it was hotter than the salsa that came with the chips. it was a tasty tomatillo salsa, but there was no heat to it. The restaurant was nice and clean, and it was decorated in a nice entertaining Mexican fashion. The servers we’re nice and attentive. We look forward to coming back and trying some of the other other menu items to see how they compare with other Mexican food restaurants that we are used to. If you are in the Deer Park area, it is definitely worth the stop.

Place was shit. Chiliquiles was bland and awful. We still had to pay for it even though we didn’t eat it. We couldn’t even try to order something else so I can eat as well because they ignored us. Also this was the worst service ever. We had to wait a long time to even get menus even though they saw us. Then once our food came they came by once to refill coffee then ignored us the rest of the time. There was barely anyone there but they still ignored us and would not look our way when we wanted to get their attention. Don’t come here. I would give it 0 stars if I could.

I had heard really good things about this restaurant this past few weeks. We wanted to try something new so we gave this place a shot today. Oh my goodness! This place is so delicious. It is definitely going to be a go to restaurant now. They give you so much food and it is perfectly made. I highly suggest trying out this restaurant!!
