We tried Happy Panda in Lexington and really enjoyed the food! The pineapple chicken was flavorful with the perfect balance of sweet and savory, and the broccoli was fresh and cooked just right. The salt and pepper shrimp had a nice crispy texture and great seasoning, and it paired well with the fried rice. The portions were good and the presentation looked clean and appetizing. Overall a very satisfying meal. We will definitely be back!

Gave this place a try despite the negative reviews. Should have trusted them. We went with a safe choice by getting General Tso’s. Even that wasn’t a safe choice. Really small portion of chicken. Both the chicken and the rice had a bad taste, like a factory floor. It all tasted like cleaning supplies or something. Would not recommend.

Humph….. Trying to decide on my thoughts for this restaurant. I do like the overall look of the inside of the restaurant.. I would have never thought it was going to look that way on the inside . The inside the core is very nice. Now about the food that I purchased. I ordered the lunch special which was the sesame chicken My 2 sides were an egg roll and white rice. The sesame Chicken is decent I guess. I’m more use to sesame chicken having a little more sauce on it. It was a little dry but definitely edible. The white rice was plain as normally is. The egg roll was pretty decent as well. I will go back and try it again to see if this review changes and update it if it does.

The chicken lo mein is awful. I’m positive that the chicken was (over) boiled without any spices or flavor added. The veggies were weirdly watery and gelatinous (???) which is just revolting. I don’t understand the good reviews calling this “standard American Chinese food” because no. Just no.

I always stop here on any run thru Kentucky. Dumplings Hibachi Steak, and some local Ale81. Ale – 8 -One, known colloquially as Ale-8, is a regional ginger- and citrus-flavored soft drink, distributed primarily to brick and mortar retailers in Kentucky. Ale-8 could be described as a ginger Soda with a “kick”. It is a ginger and citrus blend, containing less carbonation and fewer calories than conventional soda. one best of the bluegrass in the green glass…alway fresh, tasty, memorable. The dumplings are an absolute joy and this picture cannot get close to capturing their taste, aroma, and depth.

Quick lunch stop clean inside and nice space to seat and eat. Order pick two – teriyaki chicken and general chicken – good!

I spent the week down in Lexington and ate here four of the five days… for lunch (1130-ish timeframe)… Monday – Lunch Take out menu of Gen Tso chicken… was good a crispy;
Tuesday – ordered House Mai Fun… had good flavor and was a good portion… the Manager suggested getting their take out from the buffet… which looked good.
Thursday – got the two-main buffet of Gen Tso and Beef & Mushroom… those were good, crispy Gen Tso and flavorful Beef and Mushroom… over a generous portion of steamed rice.
Friday, repeated the two-main buffet with a Pineapple Chicken (good) and Teriyaki Chicken (that was honestly only okay). Overall, I appreciated how quick their service was for both the take out and buffet line… in and out in less than 5 minutes… lovely Hostess that provided good recommendations…
I would eat here again, well priced… recommend the Buffet as take out… 2 Cups+/- portion of steamed rice and generous Cup+ of each Entre’… with an Egg Roll… $8+/-

Had someone fly while I buy. I got the Sweet/Sour Chicken, she got the General Tsos. OMG never again. Tasteless. Fried rice has zero taste, it’s like boiled white rice, even the sweet and sour sauce was like water. All I can taste is the oil. And what’s up with the tiny portions. A waste of twenty bucks.
