Since 2021, Papi Gordo’s has been locally owned and operated. We serve authentic Mexican cuisine with delicious natural ingredients. During the week, we have happy hour from 3 PM to 7 PM, Taco Tuesdays, and brunch on Saturdays from 9 AM to 2 PM. Now starting on the weekends, live DJ entertainment at night! So I ordered a $14 drink and it came half full? Needed ice, asked for an iced cup never got it. They were out of MULTIPLE things to make drinks. Said the owner has a very outdated drink menu. Food was okay nothing special. Very disappointed in service and drink portion and option. Would not recommend or return

Our group was not impressed by their complimentary salsa + chips, but we loved their house margaritas, birria tacos, and al pastor. Really good portion sizes. We went on a Wednesday night and it was empty, but we had good service and an overall enjoyable experience.

Chose to stop here for dinner here because it would have taken 1 hrs 25 minutes during rush hour to get back to our rental. What a surprising little secret…ordered Taquerias: grilled shrimp, grilled fish, Korean, Berria, and Al Pastor. Chips with salsa and fresh made guacamole was so good. The tacos, ordered with flour tortillas, were outstanding and full of flavor. So good…so very, very good.

Cinco de Mayo. I showed up super early—May have even opened the place. Immediately greeted and seated. While we waited for the rest of our group to arrive, the people started trickling in. I can see why people arrive early. By the time we left, there was a long line outside.
Yvette was our server and amazing. Attentive and super friendly. Plus, the Mexican outfit was pretty! I ordered a margarita and it was one of the best I’ve had. Not sweet, and perfectly balanced. I ordered the ceviche; it had mango and the seafood pieces were quite large. Served with chips. Have to say, it’s one of the best I’ve had. The music was better when I walked in, as it was Mexican music (especially for this day) but quickly changed to other popsy stuff. Nevertheless, I had a great time with friends, great patrons, great service. (Only down fall, was there was only one bathroom. I’m sure they will fix it soon.)

All style and no substance. Tacos didn’t have much flavor. Happy hour food consists of 3 corn dishes, one of which is $18. Questionable design choices, including the cheapest bar chairs I’ve sat in for a long time. I wish these investors luck on this one.

It wasn’t very busy but I think that’s only because everyone doesn’t yet know how amazing the food here is!! Seriously, you need to come check this place out. He had the Crispy Chignon Tacos, two beef and two potato (he preferred beef). I had a Korea taco, crispy fish taco and the ahi tuna tostada. There was nothing left when we finished. That tostada was so amazing, I will be drooling about that for a while. We also went with the house margaritas and those were also so good. We will definitely be back to explore more of the menu!

We went by Papi Gordo’s for Sunday brunch. It was not very crowded and we were greeted promptly and seated inside.
There was a DJ playing music and inside it was quite loud.
We ordered entrees, which came with 1¢ champagne bottles. The skillet, burrito, and french toast were all delicious. The micheladas and bloody Mary were excellent as well.
The level of service tapered off the longer we were there, but overall the experience was decent and the food was amazing.
