Can I give my server 10 stars? She was amazing from the moment I walked in the door. Now I didn’t know about reservations , but the place was empty besides maybe two people at the bar . I told her how I was trying a different country’s food every single night that I’m here and she was very knowledgeable about the DC area. She helped me cook my meal when she saw I was having a little trouble getting all sides cooked evenly and even shared some good travel stories herself. It made my solo trip meal not so alone and that was a good feeling. If you’re in town visiting or if you live in the area definitely come to this spot for amazing food and service.

Gogi Yogi has a new fan!! Even though we arrived a bit late in the evening, they welcomed us graciously — the staff was friendly, kind, and very accommodating.

We ordered the marinated chicken and it was wonderful — perfectly cooked, juicy, and full of flavor, with a nicely balanced marinade. We also had fried dumplings which came out hot and crispy and paired nicely with the dipping sauce. Everything tasted fresh and satisfying, and the pricing felt completely reasonable for what we got.

I was impressed by the variety of side dishes we got to try. Along with rice, there were some interesting little plates — there was a beet-based dish and a slaw-type side (similar to a jicama or radish-style salad) and a “kimchi”-style pickled vegetable dish, which was fun and tasty. It was nice to have the opportunity to try a few of those different Korean “banchan”-style sides — they added variety and made the meal feel more complete.

The ambiance inside is modern and lively, with classic Korean-BBQ table-top grills, and a comfortable, casual vibe. For the price, service, and overall quality, I’d absolutely go back to explore more of the menu. Gogi Yogi gets a strong recommendation from me for anyone looking for a great Korean BBQ experience in DC.

One of the best Korean BBQ. They have Halal option. Price is higher but unlimited refills. Chicken and beef are delicious. Side dishes were also delicious. Overall it was a great meal. Customer service and atmosphere were great. They don’t have parking and street parking is difficult.

Awesome service and probably the best tasting kbbq all you can eat that I have been. The portions great and the bulgogi was particularly good alongside their garlic shrimp which we order several of. The pork belly was also great and there was free refills on the fountain drink. HIGHLY recommend this place, we paid 45 dollars but was absolutely worth it for the feast.

Gogi Yogi is a great local Korean barbecue spot. On Thursdays they do an all night happy hour and have three tiers of all you can eat- $35pp, $45pp, and $55pp. Banchan is also included. This place is a fun experience- great for cold nights! The staff also brought out free popsicles and shots!

So initially my rating would be much higher, but I think there were a couple of things that really broke it down for me.

Food: The spicy pork belly was decent and the price was fair, brisket came cut too thick and the fat hardened and was nauseating to eat. Sauce is alright but I wish there was more variety.

Service: Luis was great, attentive and made sure to leave room for questions. My main contention – and what brought my review down as well, was the gratuity added. 20% service fee??? For a table of 1? With no disclosure until you get the bill is crazy. I understand this is not the servers fault but a restaurant doing this makes me inclined to never come back.

Atmosphere: Clean, nice music, decent ambiance.

Edit: Alright, the restaurant is correct, I did not fully read the bottom disclosure, which is my mistake. HOWEVER, 20% is truly absurd, this is not a fine dining establishment, the service is decent, but not phenomenal. It does not warrant 20% on every single tab. I added a star, but I am not satisfied with this policy.

We had a reservation for 6:so PM and were promptly seated upon arrival. Our host was incredibly welcoming and attentive, ensuring our drinks and food arrived swiftly. While the restaurant was initially quiet, service understandably slowed as it filled up, though we never experienced any significant delays. The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful. We opted for the all-you-can-eat option B and have no complaints whatsoever. Be aware that the pricing is on the higher side, and please note that a 20% gratuity is automatically included in the bill

My favorite food is Korean barbecue, and I will never come to this location again. I’ve been to others from this chain, and this was by far the worst. There was a total of maybe four other tables occupied, leaving half of the restaurant empty, and it still took us an extremely long time to have the Staff notice that we were still waiting for what we ordered. that all would have been fine if the meat quality wasn’t so poor for how much you are paying for the all you can eat there aren’t significant differences between options a, b, and c. The only real upside was that the shrimp is coded nicely, and cooks well. The chicken was cooked in the back and came out hard and coated in sauces that were creamy, salty, and not tasty. not to mention, we didn’t even get a refill on water until we had already been there for an hour.
