Very good experience overall. The staff was friendly and the place was clean. Vegan dishes are clearly marked on the menu which makes choosing food super straightforward.

We ordered the vegan udon and overall it was amazing. The broth was really flavorful, the udon slightly overcooked but still good and the tofu was nice too. One suggestion would be to use firm tofu instead of silken tofu or at least give customers the option to choose.

We also tried the agedashi tofu. This was tasty as well but especially for this dish a firmer tofu would really elevate it.

The avocado and vegetable rolls could be improved. The vegetables were quite crunchy, the avocado portion very small and the roll itself wasn’t very compact. It would also be great to see more creative vegan roll options for example with sweet potato or roasted peppers.

The edamame were good though the portion could have been a bit more generous.

Best sushi in town. I love this place!!
Do yourself a favor and start with himachi carpaccio.
Then pretty much any role would be good.
Try one of their baked rolls too they have a baked scallop roll with some special creamy sauce on its ridiculous crazy out of this world good.

Sort of clean. Condiment containers were sticky but tables had been wiped and there was no food on the booths. Bathrooms are outside.

Fish was fresh but other ingredients did not seem high quality. Avocado crunchy. Sushi rice almost tasted like plain white rice. Miso too salty to consume. The water tasted good! Probably filtered, which was nice.

BYOB and the liquor store next door is closed on Sunday and Monday.

The server was great. He welcomed us, brought chilled glasses for our beer and extra napkins without being asked. Sushi delivery was very prompt.

We unexpectedly stumbled upon this restaurant, and what a hidden gem! I ordered Chirashi which was delicious and beautifully presented. Others in my party ordered orange blossom, cherry blossom, and Alaska rolls. The fish is very fresh and the service friendly and attentive. Highly recommend.

It’s a small place, Once seated they ignored us for a long time until we finally got waters and then I was gonna ask a few questions about the things in the menu that actually say (ask our server) Every time I asked a question she was super rude to answer and the when we went to order one roll to start she said “most people just order everything at once” and the stops there waiting for us to order and then took the menus. Absolutely horrible service. The 4 of us started to split two appetizers by the time we decided to find another restaurant to eat.

Update:
I’ve already posted the photo of your interior—stop trying to imply I wasn’t there. I don’t need a receipt to prove that your service was hostile. Instead of hiding behind fake “99%” statistics, you should hold your staff accountable for the rude behavior I actually experienced.

Asking for a receipt is just a tactic to shift the blame back onto the customer. If you truly cared about “happy experiences,” you’d spend more time training your servers and less time making excuses on Google. Your defensive attitude proves that the problem starts from the top. I will not be back, and I will make sure others know exactly how you treat feedback.

My fiancé and I were looking for a good sushi/ramen experience during our time in Hawaii, and we were honestly blown away by this. The staff were very friendly and attentive and our server was on top of everything. The ramen was amazing, some of the best we have ever had. Our server recommend the Super Lion King roll and it was delicious. We even got Salmon Skin rolls even though they were not listed on the menu, they made them for us when we asked and it was delicious. Portions were generous, everything was reasonably priced, and the food came out very quickly. The building is also located away from the tourist areas so it was nice and quiet outside. If you are in the Kona area and looking for some quick, cheap Japanese food, please head to Sean’s and treat yourself.

Honestly most underrated restaurant in Kona. Authentic food, lots of space – gives diner vibes and the hours are amazing! Things close so early in Kona and this is the go to night spot!

Probably in the top five sushi experiences I’ve ever had. Pleasant, simple interior. Staff was very friendly and provided excellent service. The sushi was amazing in taste, freshness, and texture. The rice itself was amazing in a way that is hard to articulate-each grain was its own separate discernible piece, but they were also held together as a whole. The soy sauce was also very good, not the typical watery type that is much more common. I flew to Oahu the next day and try to replicate the experience at Sean’s and was sorely disappointed.
