Not to be missed! This is a rare gem– and a limited opportunity, to boot. Not only do they have special hours, but they will be retiring, come September (as of the writing of this review)! They have some amazing classic Thai dishes, a wide array of desert and coffee options, boba tea, Italian sodas– and the sweetest couple you could ever know! They are so kind and personable, we found it difficult to leave! You have to meet them before they pack it in for good. The restaurant is a converted cottage home that is so quaint and cool. It has a cozy, yet contemporary feel. And there are authentic elephant paintings! It was such an awesome experience.
The fresh roll was unique, but tasty, and the Thom Ka was bright and fresh, but still very aromatic. We both had phad Thai as our main dish, and the flavor was perfect! Not too sweet or tangy. The shrimp was of impressively impeccable quality (something I am quite picky about)! And we had a basque cheesecake worth fighting over as desert! Followed by a lovely bit of departing conversation with the owners. I absolutely cannot wait to go back! I definitely recommend.

We were looking for someplace different to go for lunch and came across The Mangrove Cafe. It’s kind of a hidden gem as I’ve driven by there countless times and wasn’t aware of it.
It’s an old house transformed into a restaurant, so it’s not very large with few tables, but that makes it quaint and quiet. The server was super friendly and efficient.
The food was spectacular. I ordered the Roasted Red Pork over rice and it was awesome. My wife ordered the Chicken Pad See-Ew and she raved about the flavors that blended harmoniously.
Both dishes were BEAUTIFULLY presented. Can’t wait to go back for the expanded dinner menu.

This is your grandmothers garden spot in an eclectic 1920s residential with every room made into an available nook for eating. Food was enticing and tasty. We had a Fresh spring roll and the Pad Thai. The experience was great and we enjoyed this hidden gem. A tad pricy but worth the quality outing. It is going away in Sep so try it out if you haven’t before it’s gone.

It’s hard to describe how truly wonderful this hidden gem is. Tucked away off of Bowdish Road is a garden with this boutique restaurant in the middle. The owners are sweet and adorable. The chef (wife) is from Thailand and cooks the best Thai cuisine that I’ve ever enjoyed in the US. Check the website for hours because while Yelp and Google might assure you that they’re open, reservations are generally required for the evening. You may show up to find they cannot accommodate you or they’re closed.
By the way, we had the cashew chicken, chicken pad Thai, and my husband and I split their spring roll. Each was amazing. We highly recommend.

Fantastic! Very welcoming staff and the Pad Thai was awesome! Also had the mixed berry coffee cake and a cappuccino that were excellent as well. Will definitely go back, bringing friends and family.

Wow! What an awesome place! Such sweet owners, Larry is so kind and his wife does the cooking and man can she cook! These dishes were so authentic, fresh and beautiful, not to mention delicious! Full of flavor and attention to detail. We had the spring rolls, salad rolls, Tom kha soup, almond chicken, drunken noodles and Thai ice tea and nothing disappoints! This is an awesome date night place or a night out with family. Get reservations, it’s a small place. Can’t wait to see the patio come to life this spring! Thanks for the great experience! We will be back!

Well, this is an amazing hidden gem in Spokane. A friend and I wanted Thai Food, so we googled the restaurant and found this restaurant. We did not realize that it was by reservation only, but the owner had some availability.
I ordered the Red Curry dish that was AMAZING! They add slices of fresh pumpkin to it. When I say fresh, I mean that the cook (his wife) went into the garden and got a pumpkin! How cool was this!?
They are only open for a short window, but all money is donated to help elephants. What is better than a restaurant with great food, family-owned, and they donate the proceeds?

If I could give a 1 Million star review I would. This is the best Thai food I’ve tasted in the United States, on top of the amazing food, the owners are delightful, genuine, and put their heart and soul into their business and food. The owners came out to check on us several times to make sure our food and experience was perfect. I had the drunken noodles and my fiancé had the pad Thai. The vegetables tasted like they were fresh from the garden. We inhaled our food, it was delicious! The cherry on top was the beautifully decorated restaurant and picturesque garden surrounding the restaurant. If you are looking for the best Thai food experience in the Spokane/CDA area I highly recommend the Mangrove Cafe.
