Hōseki Sushi (宝石寿司) is a family-owned restaurant started in a new addition of the Burlington neighbourhood launched in the Fall of 2021 and in downtown Oakville this June of 2023. Our restaurant focuses mainly on serving just Sushi, and Omakase. It’s our demand ito deliver the best varieties of quality sushi to our valued customers to experience the real authentic Sushi flavour from Japan. Our daily selection consists of varieties of 30 different menu items of the freshly prepared seafood in addition, we also offer some rare find seasonal specials! Our selected premium ingredients are imported directly from Japan and across the country every week to ensure customer can enjoy the same quality of freshness and flavours all year round!

Thanks Hoseki Sushi for taking time to reply my comments. The sushi rice itself it’s on the sweet side, not the topping. And the Unagi Don (sauce, I guess) it’s very sweet too.
Salmon Lover is the basic dish for sashimi and torched Nigiri. I feel It’s the easiest way to know the freshness and the way chef cooks. I am disappointed of what I had on that day and I don’t think I am brave enough to try other dishes after the visit. Very sorry about that

My friend took me and my husband for my early birthday lunch to the restaurant that is right in downtown Oakville.We had wonderful meal ! This is definitely not your typical sushi take out restaurant however they do offer takeout service. The fish are very fresh. As the chef explained that he only uses the best quality fish and He will treat the fish depending the type and the cut. Every dish is made with such detail care. We had marinated and smoked sashimi as well as my favourite Japanese dish boiled black cod. Both my husband and I love sushi and went to different Japanese restaurants throughout the GTA and aboard. What I can say is this is one of the best sushi restaurants we have had and the best one in Oakville for sure. What a treat!

This has and still is my favourite sushi restaurant since they opened their first location in Burlington. My partner and I will drive from Waterdown to Oakville just to visit Chef Tim and enjoy his delicious food. It is a more upscale than your typical ayce sushi but that means better quality fish and more authentic flavours. We have never had a bad meal here and we have celebrated every milestone here from birthdays, anniversaries, and even our engagement. I hope to see them succeed for many more years so we can continue to celebrate with them

We have celebrated several special occasions with Omakase and it has been divine, every one of our visits. The food is so fresh it would be easy to believe the fish hopped out of the ocean and right in front of Chef just before we sat down. The flavours are mind blowing and life changing. The staff makes customet service their top priority and Chef takes time to educate you on each delicious dish. Just simply unforgettable!

First time coming here, my sister in law found this sushi joint and WOW, omakase was delicious! Every single course given to us was so beautifully created and curated. First experience trying Omakase. The food and service provided by Chef Tim and his staff as well as our server Roberta was exceptional. The sushi was fresh and left me mouthwatering for more. The sake Zaku which was recommended was also very good. I will definitely be coming back

I’ve been looking for a good omakase spot around Toronto for a long time, and I’m so happy I finally found! It’s about a 1.5hour drive from my home, but honestly, it’s totally worth it.
Tim puts so much care into every dish and really takes time to connect with each guest. Sitting in front of him, listening to him talk about the food, and enjoying his fun and friendly small talk made the whole experience even more special.

My wife and I came to Hoseki Sushi to celebrate our wedding anniversary, and Chef Tim and his entire team absolutely blew us away. We did the Omakase dining experience and it was flawless from start to finish. The fish was incredibly fresh, and we were treated to several rare selections we’ve never had elsewhere. This is a top-notch establishment and truly the best dining experience in Oakville. We will be back for sure!

Finally a legitimate sushi restaurant in Oakville! All other sushi/Japanese restaurants pale in comparison. First time trying Hoseki at lunch with my husband today for our anniversary; it definitely exceeded our expectations! Loved the interior design of the place, great atmosphere, and very friendly personable staff. The owner, Tim, took the time to chat with us after our meal! Really appreciate the gesture and how he cares about connecting with his guests. Top quality and very delicious sashimi and sushi. We will definitely be coming back. Next time we will sit at the sushi bar 🙂

This sushi place is so nice. It was our first time to visit for a special occasion and it did not disappoint. The staff were so friendly and the food was amazing. The ambience was also nice and the place was very clean. We tried Dragon, Namisake, Hoseki and Orange special rolls and all were so good! You can taste the quality and freshness with every bite. We ended our meal with a matcha ice cream and that was also so good. I highly recommend!
