Mi Peru’s mission is to deliver high-quality, authentic Peruvian food that tastes like it was made at home. Whether you’ve been to Peru or not, you’ll feel like you have when you taste our food. Mi Peru is the continuation of a project that started almost three decades ago in Peru. After being on hold for a few years, it was revived in North Carolina by the owners, who started out cooking at home and inviting friends over. Their friends encouraged them to share their passion for Peruvian food with a broader audience, and that’s how Mi Peru came to be. We bring the passion and knowledge of what embodies Peruvian cuisine, using Peruvian condiments, spices, and cooking techniques.

The Aji de Gallina was very traditional. I even asked for extra sauce because it was phenomenal. My favorite dish was Lomo Saltado. For beverages, we ordered an Inca Cola (can’t go wrong with that), and a homemade Maracuyá-flavored agua fresca, which was delicious and very refreshing.
To top off the Peruvian feel, the background music was Peruvian cumbia, extra points for that.
I absolutely recommend this place.
My 2 friends and I had such a great experience, first with the hospitality… I felt like I was just at home to eat lunch. Then our amazing waiter accommodated us with his attentiveness to the menu and ordering food and what we needed!
My friend had a birthday the night before and with the most amazing surprise Jorge, our waiter played her an authentic birthday song with A GUITAR!! Like how coooollll?!?
I cant express how amazing and authentic the whole experience was! The culture of the restaurant really showed the amazing community the triangle brings.
Make it your next stop !! Say hi to Jorge, or oder to go !! I promise you wont be disappointed!!!
One of my childhood best friends was Peruvian, and I loved eating whatever her grandma made; the flavor of this place took me back.
This restaurant is kind of hidden in the shopping strip where the Lowe’s hardware store is.
So if looking for Mi Peru turn into the Lowe’s then go to the opposite side of the building.
(I missed my turn, thus why I mentioned this.)
I absolutely love Chicha (basically a purple corn drink) and wanted a pitcher of Chicha (you can buy by the glass or pitcher) but I know I could not drink it all alone.
My family was visiting and wanted to eat something other than fast food, so we gave this place a try and quite content that we did.
The ceviche is different from what I am used to, but it was refreshing and I loved how much and well I tasted the lime juice.
I look forward to trying more dishes, maybe I’ll try one of their specials next time.
We ordered Arroz Chaufa, Lomo Saltado and Pollo a la Brasa, all three were absolutely delicious. The flavors were amazing and the portions were huge. We ate plenty and still left with leftovers which is always a win.
If you’re thinking about trying this place, go for it you won’t regret it. We definitely recommend checking it out. We’ll for sure be coming back.
We all liked the food, we decided to order three different dishes so we all can share and taste each menu that we think we would like to try. Also i ordered a whole chicken to go, the chicken that they have here is a bit different taste compare the alpaca. I think everyone is different because me personally like the alpaca chicken taste better than in here but my husband he said the chicken that mi Peru has the smoked taste and he likes it that way. Me personally like charcoal taste and little burn color on the skin which Mi Peru doesn’t have that way.
Other than that all was good and so far it won’t stop us to come over again next time we’re in the area to try some other menu.
