Visit on 12/30/26 – This place was awesome. It was located at the Moxy in the heart of Asheville, and had a very contemporarys and relaxing atmosphere.

I beleive our server was named Genaveve or something to that effect. She recommended that I try some Japanese soda water, which was great and a peculiar after taste that I had never experience.

She recommended the lamb, which was amazing, and I dined on the salmon….. I don’t drink, but if you are a drinker, this is good place to chill and try some well crafted cocktails. They had an expansive menu.

Also, we had some complimentary dessert, since I couldn’t resist telling the staff that it was my girlfriend’s birthday despite being told repeatedly before we arrived not to do so and not to draw unwanted attention to her.

In closing, our next trip we will stay at the Moxy so we can come downstairs and eat here and order in room dining from their kitchen.

Lovely dinner at Wildwood Still for a girls night. Atmosphere, food, service, views, everything was fantastic!

Not included in the photos is the Smoked Tea Mars Hill Mushroom dish, which was the absolute star—grilled mushrooms, black tea gel, charred horseradish aioli, puffed rice and Thai basil.

Their menu rotates, so the next change is coming soon (according to our waitress). Do yourself a favor and stop by before the menu changes, then come back again when the new menu is out

Wildwood Still in Asheville is an absolute gem and a true locals’ spot! From the moment you walk in, the warm and inviting atmosphere sets the tone for a great experience. The food is absolutely delicious — every dish feels fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully prepared. The drinks are equally impressive, with creative cocktails and a great selection that pair perfectly with the menu. The staff truly makes the place shine — friendly, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what they do. Combined with the cozy yet vibrant environment, it’s the perfect spot for a night out, a casual drink, or a special occasion. Highly recommend!

So let me start with the positives: the atmosphere was lovely. The design leaned masculine with browns and blacks, but the touches of greenery softened the space nicely. The views were fantastic from anywhere inside, and especially beautiful from the patio. Our server was kind, helpful, and attentive overall. My friend ordered a small batch flight and really enjoyed both the product and the experience. She also loved her smash burger, though she did wish it came with fries for the price.

Now for the less positive side: I ordered the Chilean sea bass marinated in a miso soy sauce. The portion was extremely small, and the texture seemed closer to California white sea bass than the thick, buttery Chilean sea bass I expected. The flavor was fine, but it didn’t quite deliver on the promise of that dish. To their credit, the manager graciously removed it from the bill. I then tried the Caesar salad since I’d heard great things, but it left me underwhelmed as well. For dessert, we shared the chocolate cherry blossom cheesecake. It was tasty, but presentation-wise it was simply a slice of cheesecake – with a side of whipped cream and a drizzle of orange sauce which felt a bit lackluster.

Overall, it wasn’t a bad experience, but unfortunately not a great one either.

We came to The Wildwood Still as a group of six and were absolutely blown away by the entire experience. As soon as you walk into the restaurant you’re greeted with a warm, modern atmosphere that blends natural wood textures, and earthy tones.

What truly sets this spot apart is the view. Floor-to-ceiling windows and an open rooftop patio offer sweeping mountain vistas, and if you’re lucky enough to be there during golden hour, it’s pure magic. Sunset in Asheville has never looked better.

We had a bunch of different cocktails which were expertly crafted and delicious.

Wildwood Still at the Moxy Asheville is an absolute gem and easily one of the most exciting meals I’ve had all year—worthy of every one of the five stars.
Perched at the top of the hotel, the restaurant treats you to sweeping mountain views and a front-row seat to sunset while you dine. The space itself is warm and stylishly rustic: great lighting, a striking central fireplace, and a smart-casual vibe that feels effortlessly cool without ever being stuffy.
The menu is a brilliant, boundary-pushing love letter to Southern and Asian cuisines, executed with serious skill and creativity. The koji-aged porterhouse is a revelation—deeply flavorful, perfectly cooked, and served with miso-braised collard greens that taste like the world’s most sophisticated creamed spinach. The aged ahi tuna “steak” is an equally impressive meat-free option, with a rich, beefy richness that surprised and delighted everyone at the table. Portions are generous, flavors are bold yet perfectly balanced, and every plate feels like it was dreamed up by someone who truly loves to feed people.
Desserts are not to be skipped; they’re creative, seasonal, and outright incredible. The bar program lives up to the restaurant’s reputation with an excellent selection of unique whiskeys and inventive cocktails that pair beautifully with the food.
Service throughout the evening was warm, knowledgeable, and perfectly timed—attentive without ever hovering. For the quality, creativity, and sheer deliciousness on the plate (not to mention those views), the value here is outstanding. This is a special-occasion restaurant that somehow still feels approachable.
If you’re a food lover with an adventurous palate, or simply someone who appreciates generous portions of brilliantly executed food, put Wildwood Still at the top of your Asheville list. I’m already counting the days until I can go back!
