What a great little hot dog spot at SSI! So convenient to the village and the food hits the spot! We enjoyed some great hot dogs and deviled eggs. The small tables were great too—there was more seating than I expected. The staff was friendly and the service was fast. Stop by-you won’t regret it!!

Cutest little hot dog spot!
I have been craving a BLT so we got BLTs, jumbo dogs, regular and a brat!
We asked one of the ladies to just make the BLT however she thought best, it was toasted on Rye and they were delicious! They satisfied the craving I had.
Tomatoes were crisp and juicy.
The home made blueberry cobbler was by far the best thing I have tasted all week! It was warm, soft and so tasty.
The dogs all had the perfect amount of toppings.
10/10 would go here again!
The staff were also the sweetest women ever.

We have been going to the island for many years and have never stopped at HDA. What a mistake! My wife and I just wanted a simple meal at a good price. We did not even look at the hours but rolled up at 2:00 pm, their closing time. The ladies were so kind and did not say a word that they were closing. We both got jumbo dogs with the fixings and potato salad. I then noticed the hours and apologized but they were happy to serve us. Food was delicious and we sat on the deck with our lab and watched the world go by. Ladies offered our pup a treat as well. This is now a definite stop for us on the island.

This is the best hotdogs, sausage dogs, hamburgers, and sandwiches on the island. The potato and pasta salad are great. The food is fresh and the staff is friendly.

The Reuben sandwich was decent. The pasta and potato salad are homemade and good, but the portion is small. They wouldn’t give me the homemade slaw on the side because they were running low even though it’s an extra charge.

I only found this place because the GPS took me there when I did a search for fast food restaurants nearby. I got the jumbo hot dog and it was about the best hot dog I had ever tasted. The woman that took my order was very friendly. It sits very close to downtown St Simons Island so unless you’re familiar with the area or have a GPS you may not find it. It sits kind of back off the road.

Cute little spot for hotdogs. Decent dogs and very sweet staff. Outside patio is nice. No inside seating as this is a walk up. Very relaxing when a good breeze comes through.
