Nothing super impressive about the chicken sandwich I had. Not that it was bad, it just seemed pretty average. Portion sizes were good, the chicken was fried well, pickles and slaw were nice. Fries were unremarkable. Probably wouldn’t feel a strong need to come back.

My friend and I went here as I heard about it online. So my friend and I drove 20 minutes to try it out. I ordered 2 tenders and mac and cheese. First thing I will say was the mac and cheese was very bland and I didn’t like it. The chicken tenders I got were mild and like the spice level said they were mild and that was okay. The chicken was juicy and tender and the breading was light which was different than I was expecting. My friend got the chicken salad and she is it not a good balance of the lettuce and chicken. Too much chicken she commented. The strawberry hibiscus lemonade drink she got was out of this world she said. So for the drive to get out here and for the food I don’t think I would be back. Come back only for the lemonade!

RUN DONT WALK ‼️ this is easily my new favorite spot.. I don’t think I’ll be frequenting Popeyes Chicken or Dave’s Hot Chicken Anymore and no shade to either , this place just takes the cake in my opinion. I would vote for it #1 again and again. Just go and see for yourself if you don’t believe me. I went today for my first time and was greeted by Christina. She gave me some recommendations and when I got home to enjoy my meal, it was so good I actually called the store to praise them personally. As a first-time customer, I was extremely impressed with my experience at Houston TX Hot Chicken in Troy, MI. The location is spotless and well-maintained, with a modern, welcoming atmosphere. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, taking the time to walk me through the menu and explain the spice levels and options.
There’s a great variety of menu items, but I decided to try the crispy chicken nuggets and the hearty tortilla soup—both were absolutely delicious and exceeded expectations. The nuggets were perfectly seasoned and juicy, and the soup had bold flavor with just the right kick.
If you’re in the Troy area and love hot chicken, this spot should be at the top of your list. I’ll definitely be coming back to try the tenders, sandwiches, and loaded fries. Highly recommend for anyone craving spicy, flavorful comfort food with great service.

I tried Houston TX Hot Chicken for lunch. Easy 5 star review. It’s a fast casual dining experience with fantastic chicken and some cool interior decorations.
Service was great. The employee who took my order at the counter stopped by to check how everything turned out. The dining area was nice and clean.
I ordered the original sandwich, medium spice, with coleslaw and pickles. The original sauce comes on the sandwich and in a side dish for dipping. The fries came out fresh and were lightly seasoned.
The hottest spice level is “Houston, we have a problem”. I really got a kick out of the art work. Would recommend!

I had a very disappointing experience at Houston TX Hot Chicken. When I walked in, I was literally the only customer in the restaurant, yet there were two or three employees standing around who completely ignored me. One of them even said, “I’m busy right now, you have to wait,” in a rude tone. After waiting, he finally helped me but with a pathetic attitude. To make things worse, my food was not fully cooked. Great Customer Service and Very Clean!They have a wide range of spice. The person who took our order said he was new but was very knowledgeable about the heat levels and guided us on how we should order. The Honey Butter (for those who can’t handle the heat) was perfect on the salad. I had the loaded fries with mild spice and it was just right. Their original chicken sandwich in my humble opinion is better than Popeye’s and Chick-fil-A. You’ve gotta try this place. We can’t wait to go back.

Q was seriously amazing — friendly, professional, and made the whole experience better from start to finish. You can tell he genuinely cares about customers and takes pride in what he does. Trey was also awesome and helped make everything run smoothly. The rest of the team here deserves a lot of credit too, especially the cooks in the back — they don’t get nearly enough recognition for how consistent and great the food is. Overall, this place has an incredible crew, and Q and Trey are big reasons I’ll be coming back.

This place was absolutely beautiful on the inside. Nice place. Service was amazing. But the music terrible. Not everyone likes swearing in their music. But other than that it was awesome. Best thing that they make is the coleslaw. Believe it or not.
