I have heard wonderful things so I decided to try this local spot. To start, I was pleasantly welcomed by the cashier with politeness and a smile. The owners and the cashier are very nice and welcoming people. Don’t be foolish and let the dated outside fool you, this spot is a lovable local gem!

The server/cashier came to check on me multiple times, which truly emphasized their care for their customers. The food came relatively quick for I only had to wait about 5-ish minutes.

I loved the chicken teriyaki bowl that I ordered, which came with tsukemono, a simple and deliciously refreshing cabbage topping. The food was straight forward, yet delicious and full of flavor, the chicken was quite tender as well. The way they prepared the chicken in thin-julienne-like cuts was unique and allowed the teriyaki sauce to cover more surface are, truly fusing the grilled umami flavor of the neatly cooked chicken with the dark and flavorful teriyaki sauce.

Using my best judgement, the prices of the food is about the same you would find anywhere else. For the plates/ bowls they offer 3 different sizes. Some other menu items they feature are burgers, fish fry, beef, and chicken katsu.

Additionally the restroom that is out back was clean and ready to use(kindly ask to use the restroom and you’ll be given a key). The inside of the restaurant was clean without a speck of food or liquid in site. The tables, ground, and even on top of the trash cans were as clean as a brand new car.

Overall, I will absolutely be returning to this local gem and am looking forward to trying their other menu items. If you find yourself nearby and looking for a bite, consider giving this Korean-family-owned restaurant some love!

Extremely fast service and the food is good. They don’t skimp on the portions! The staff are very welcoming and friendly and the restaurant has a very cute aesthetic. I love the table and chairs. I’m glad this spot is in my neighborhood!

The only thing good on this restaurant is the service. Food is not good at all. Beef teriyaki is hard sesame chicken doesn’t look or taste like sesame chicken at all. I had been to a lot of places and teriyaki restaurant both local and fancy ones. And this places sucks. If you want a really good teriyaki local and small restaurant but their food is comparable to the high end fancy ones, go to donuts and tepanyaki restaurant and you’ll see what I’m talking about authentic and really good teriyaki food.

Beef bowl , sesame chicken bowl, what do you think of when you hear these things? Value right. I paid 30 dollars with no tip for these 2 items , very small portion for what I paid for , let’s start with the beef bowl , it was very salty and again a little amount of beef and a lot of rice and sauce, what were the vegetables? A little bit of shredded cabbage on the side , that’s it. I would have been okay with this if it was a 5 dollar beef bowl, it was 13.49 for the beef bowl. You are 100% better off going to oto Japanese market across the street and getting their beef bowl , the flavor here is not good as well. I don’t know who did the cooking today , but to serve that is interesting. You need to take your job more seriously instead of trying to charge so much for a little beef bowl. Again if the item justified the price I would say so , it did not. Go anywhere else, but not here for a teriyaki beef bowl. Bottom of the barrel place . It’s run by some nice older Korean folks , yet it’s a Japanese name on the restaurant, my guess is they bought it over and the quality of the food went way down, because they don’t know how to make Japanese food…. Maybe change it to a Korean restaurant, and maybe take pride in your food.

Photo attached is after eating the meat , 85% rice and a very salty teriyaki.

Why bother with such a long post ?
Don’t waste your time and hard money on this half hearted attempt at teriyaki. It’s not worth it and I’m upset with how expensive it was…

The fish and chips are best in the area. Reminds me of the old H Salt fish and chip from wayback when. Everything we eaten here was delicious.and the portion a generous.

Mom and pop restaurant. I got the chicken teriyaki bowl, regular sized, a side order of gyoza (6 in the order), and fountain drink. The total came out to be about 22 bucks and change. The food was alright and staff was friendly.

The gentleman at the cash register said that their more popular dishes are the sesame chicken and teriyaki beef. I may come back to try these options out.

It’s not terrible and it’s not the best. It’s a decent teriyaki bowl. They also have burgers which is okay too. There is no drive thru so don’t try to order via the drive thru.

The chicken did not taste fresh at all.,It tasted old and it had a bad after taste to it. Chicken meat is not expensive at all, why would you try to serve your customers something that is past its shelve life to save up some meager cents. You loose more money on the long run. No wonder I had a bad feeling about this place when I entered the parking lot and it was empty. I decided to go in and eat here because the place had a 4.5 star rating. I feel sorry to leave this bad review because the old lady that was the cashier and the old gentleman that was cooking were very polite and caring. But, come on you guys, you can do better than that, my grandma was 80 plus years old and she used to cook some amazing food.

I live this place. The owners are the nicest people and the food is crazy good. I’ve never tried the fish and chips or the burgers but the sesame chicken and teriyaki chicken are really good. The location isn’t updated or fancy which is a lot of what I love of the place. Give it a try if you’re near and hungry.

Maybe the worst take out teriyaki I’ve had unfortunately. Think I caught em off guard coming in at 10am cause the chicken looked boiled? It was grey..no searing at all and tasteless. Weird.
