First time here. I ordered the lunch special. Hibachi Chicken which includes lemonade or tea, $10 even. This place is not a pretentious restaurant. They have quality staff ready to take your order and specials every day that cannot be beat. I had so much food in my to go box that it was hard to finish. They bring the food to the table with duck sauce. Get your own beverage when they hand you the cup. Very clean place, staff are clean and polite. Specials every day of the week except Sunday. I’ll be back!! By the way, those were the very best carrots that I have ever eaten!

If you want to be consistently let down with your to go order then by all means order here but if not drive to spring lane, their Sarkus is better and friendlier. I’ve ordered here numerous times and every time I get the order it’s wrong and if that’s not bad enough I’m charged for the extra noodles, order of chicken etc that I never ordered or even worse I am already home because who has time to check their order every time when they tie a knot at the top of the bag. There’s really no excuse at this point. I have repeated my order, had them repeat it back and nothing, order is wrong and paying $50 for what should have been a $30-$35 order is crazy. Don’t go unless you have time to deal with the bull and the attitude they give you for telling them that’s not the right order, that you never ordered an extra plate then have at it.

Trying to pay for an order, I tapped my card as a total appeared. It went through but then they demanded I pay again because they didn’t prompt for a tip. I tapped again and later checked my bank. I paid twice. I didn’t bother talking to anyone because it wasn’t worth ten dollars to deal with the staff. I will just go elsewhere, even though I love their food.

I was treated very poorly. The girl that took my order made jokes about me in Spanish, the guy also thought what she was saying was very funny. If you are African-American be careful. I watched how they treated other people like Hispanic and white people like they were golden. Be careful.

Second time in a row from Sarkus(Horner Blvd) that I have did an online order, only to get it home and its BURNT/BLACK/INEDIBLE. First time was about a month ago. I figured they got a new cook, no biggie, accidents/ mistakes happen. Tonight’s experience tells me this is NOT a rarity for this establishment to serve food that should have been thrown out and prepared over. To begin with I tried to just pull out the BURNT/BLACK pieces. Only to realize the food that wasn’t burnt had big chunks of burnt flecks all over it as well. Truly sad part is whoever cooked this, HAD to have seen how burnt/black it was and they still served it. Never again will I waste $20 dollars nor a $1 here. Too many quick cook japanese restaurants in Sanford to waste your money and time at this place!

The cashier was nice. There was no ice for the drinks so that was a disappointment. There was a hair in my food so …another disappointment. The food was not what I consider hibachi at all. The carrots were good. I don’t plan on returning.

This is what Hibatchi should be. Hibachi served with your choice of broccoli, mushrooms and sweet carrots. They also have zucchini and onions. There yum sauce is absolutely delicious, there steak cuts are tender and flavorful, veggies are fresh and tasty and the rice was fresh and tender also. Restaurant was clean and fountain drinks and tea are available for refills. Prices are par for the course. This is my new favorite quick bite / takeout place in this area for lunch / dinner. Highly recommend it.
