Great bar. Jake served and entertained a busy bar of patrons, expertly keeping an eye on drink levels along the bar, all the while joining in (karaoke style) with juke box hits from across the decades. Top notch service, from a top not bartender, serving friendly locals and tourists alike. This bar and its people absolutely made our visit to Springfield a winner!

So Brewhaus has made some updates. The building looks very nice. The nee band set up is better. They now serve an American lunch menu. But, they lost having a Bartender. They just have drink servers. The difference is:
Bartender-can make you a drink on the flavor you are thinking about and already knows the ingredients.
Drink server- knows how to serve beer and pour a shot. You have to know the reciepe for your mixed drinks. They serve the drink with wrong portions. Then second drink you tell them where the went wrong and fix the portions for a good tasting drink.
They serve drinks in a solo cup???????????????……

Went there for the Downhome Music Festival, Justine was my bartender. Even though it was packed, she made sure to make everyone’s experience there unique with a smile and a little chat. Excellent service from her.
Will definitely go again.

I’ll start with the atmosphere. On the night I came there appeared to be some sort of what I assumed was a water leak from the ceiling near the back door. Water dripping into a garbage can and the floor had standing water. The restrooms looked like they were out of Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie. Ceiling was peeling off in many areas and no clue what was peeling off the walls. With that said I see why this place is kept as dark as a movie theater. The bartender was very nice and attentive. Food took quite a while to come out despite there only being one other table. I was surprised at the menu prices considering everything was marked up $3-$5 from what is shown in their online menu. $17 for burger, fries and drink is pretty steep for bar food even in this economy. My daughter’s burger was huge and thick but unfortunately drier than the Sahara. My Cuban on the other hand was very good. I’ve never had this sandwich before so nothing to compare to but this one was a hit. You do get a heaping portion of fries. I’d recommend this place if u don’t have high expectations, don’t have to use the restroom & if you’re a vampire avoiding light.

I was visiting from out of town with my mother and great-aunt and we decided to eat lunch here. First impression was that it was very dark inside. My great-aunt who is in her 80’s asked the waitress what buffalo chicken was, and the waitress laughed and said “well it’s buffalo chicken…” She was so rude! I chimed in and explained it for my great-aunt because I could tell she felt humiliated. The waitress said she didn’t know how to describe it. My 80-something great-aunt was laughed at and it rubbed us all the wrong way. My mom asked if she could have a half portion of chips and fries so that she could try both, and the waitress told her a flat out no. The waitress was the only waitress working, which I know is not easy, but she could have at least tried to be friendly. I had the Pony Shoe to eat and it wasn’t great. The fries were generic frozen fries you buy at the store and the cheese sauce was generic-tasting too. The burger inside tasted decent. The restaurant also doesn’t take cards unless you spend $20 which was inconvenient. I wouldn’t recommend this place.

Google showed them as open until Midnight on a Saturday. It’s been a few decades since I was last there but since we were in the area for the night, and it wasn’t far from our hotel, my wife and I walked a few blocks down to grab a drink. Sadly when we got there the doors were locked and the lights were low. Looked through the windows and saw the place was mostly empty, no bottles on the shelves, no stools, etc. I don’t know if they are gone for good but they are definitely closed for the time being. Shame because it was one of the few places I wanted to see while I was back in town.

It was a very relaxed/chill environment. My partners buddy was in the hospital so I went and chilled here for a few hours while they visited. the drinks were great, and the bartenders were great to have a conversation. It’s definitely not an uppity type of place so if that’s your vibe it might not be for you. I can’t wait to go back though.

Stopped in here for some lunch. A lot of places nearby have closed. Brewhaus is doing just fine. Friendly staff. Old school feel. I had the walleye sandwich and it was awesome! Great beers on tap and they’ll even had a dry cider, which can be hard to come by.

Was hoping for some local food.
Had a $10 New York strip, that turned into a $20 meal when I added fries? Food was well prepared. We just thought it was rude to toss my drink when I went to the restroom? I was the only customer, bartender must have been in a hurry to get out of there!

Out of towners here for the Lincoln Museum and this place looked close and local so we gave it a try…and am I glad we did! As someone from out of town, I had no idea what a “horseshoe” was. So I was simultaneously outed as a tourist and also introduced to an amazing lunch! The ambience was great and our waitress was fantastic. Despite being the only one working – I can only assume due to the ongoing labor shortage – she managed to keep everyone’s drinks topped up and food out on time. There were a couple of local guys who the waitress knew by name. The place a local hangout vibe and I enjoyed that we were welcomed in. Check it out, it’s worth it!
