This was our first time trying Atown Wings, and unfortunately, it will likely be our last. My grandson was excited to check them out, and I was surprised to see open tables and only one person ahead of us in line—seemed promising at first.
We placed our order and paid, but things quickly went downhill. I noticed a customer ahead of us being handed his food with no real explanation about the seasoning options. When he said it was his first time, the staff just handed him ketchup and ranch. Apparently, there are a couple of seasoning shakers at the counter (maybe lemon pepper and seasoned salt?), but no one explained anything.
We waited… and waited. People who ordered after us were getting their food, so I finally asked someone to check on ours. Turns out it had been sitting in the back. When we finally got it, the wings were so overcooked they were completely dried out—zero moisture. I also had a piece of fish that was so hard and dry it was nearly inedible. The fries were cold, limp, and tasted like they’d skipped the fryer altogether.
The only semi-positive note? My grandson said his chicken tenders were “edible.” When I asked him to clarify, he said, “They’re not great, but they’re not as bad as yours.” Ouch.
Maybe they’re still working out the kinks, but for $35 for two people, this was a major letdown. Poor food quality, lack of communication, and a disappointing experience overall.
