Food was great and had a real personal and “hometown” atmosphere. Can tell they have their fair share of regulars and welcoming feel to the place. Prices are are very competitive and on the lower side compared to more modern places. Highly recommend their potato salad and chicken cutlet.

Wow. So good! And that’s coming from a native NY-er who takes her pastrami very seriously. The coleslaw was tasty, too.

My only suggestion: Please seal the bags for delivery. Maybe staple them or something. (If you could have seen the way the courier handed me the bag….you’d get what I mean.)

I had such a fantastic experience stopping by Hometown Heroes recently. It’s clear the new owner is pouring their heart and soul into this place, and it shows in every aspect, especially the food!
First off, the sandwiches were incredibly tasty. I tried their specialy chicken hero club and every ingredient was fresh, high-quality, and packed with flavor. The bread was perfectly crusty on the outside and soft on the inside, and the meats and cheese were piled just right. It’s easily the best hero I’ve had in a long time—a real standout for lunch.
Beyond the amazing food, the experience was elevated by the new owner, who is genuinely nice and welcoming. They took the time to chat, ask about my order, and make sure everyone felt at home. That kind of warm, friendly atmosphere makes a huge difference.

I stopped in to Hometown Heroes for breakfast recently and sat down to enjoy my food. I have eaten here several times over the years because the food is great, the portions are large and the prices are very fair. I used to go all the time with my kids but now they are grown and moved on with their lives. I like the restaurant and the staff is always very friendly. Maybe one day when my kids come to visit we can go back and make new memories over a great meal.

Wow! Extremely rude and entitled. Ordered a &15 sandwich with fries had it delivered 3 mins away. Lady called direct line specifically asking if a tip would be left in cash, and also left a voicemail which I saved. This sandwich was ordered for a friend. Turns out she didn’t have cash, older man tried to hold her food and was rude to my friend. Extremely unprofessional and uncalled for. Will never order from here ever again.
