Great cidery situated amongst the apple fields. Great music on weekends, plenty of tables with shade and $12 flights of cider.
Wouldn’t order a full class of it but we enjoyed LRH as part of the flight. Everything. We tried was great.

I found this place while visiting the area. Glad I did. The live music was awesome as well as the service and selection of ciders. My only disappointment was that cousins Maine lobster truck took an hour for lobster tacos and then they were cold. It wouldn’t keep me from going again, I’d just be sure to eat before going. You’ll have a good experience.

Well maintained facility. A great place to hang out, listen to bands, and partake in the various delicious hard ciders on tap. The service was super friendly and helpful. They also served wood fired pizzas and had a food truck from Grappling Crab Shack on the premises. Great views of the surrounding mountains and orchards. Dress warmer than your first instinct, it can be windy and chilly up on the Big Hill. Maybe even bring stadium seat cushions and some throws if you’re there for the long haul. I also suggest bringing basic picnic/winery supplies like snacks, plates, wipes, etc. Parking was ample and accessible.

We are in our fifties and this was our first time here. Loved the atmosphere, the bartender was pleasant and fun. It was a late Sunday afternoon and there was a guy with a guitar covering country songs. Atmosphere was chill, inside and outside seating and the prices are reasonable. Sounds like there are food trucks on some days, this day there was pizza made on site, but she is not always there. Looks like you can bring your own food, just can’t bring your own alcohol. We did not try the food, really enjoyed the ciders. Will be back for sure.
Came back and loved it again! Ordered a flight, grabbed a delicious cookie from Well Fed and enjoyed ourselves much. The staff was super friendly again, the atmosphere was so relaxing and they were just lighting a fire in the fire pit to add to the atmosphere and warm us up a bit. Well done!

This past October my brothers and I had the chance to hike approximately eight miles from the other side of South Mountain near Kings Gap to Big Hill Ciderworks. The hike was wonderfully capped off with some delicious hard cider.
The atmosphere at Big Hill Ciderworks was casual and welcoming, with numerous picnic tables scattered around the outdoor seating area, perfect for relaxing after a hike. Inside, the environment was lively, especially due to an ongoing trivia event, which added to the noise level.
I had a flight of cider and I thoroughly enjoyed the Michaux Mule, which was a semisweet cider loaded with tons of ginger. My brothers ordered pizza and said they were happy with their choices. I enjoyed my time and hope to return soon.

Rating the food from Lucky Truck. We haven’t had the food yet at Big Hill. Staff is great, atmosphere is very cool. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. There’s no road / traffic noise since they are in a pretty rural setting.

our first time there today. I recommend the mule cider and also one of their guest beers Carlisle Lights. Great indoor space and plenty outdoor space. we’ve added it to our list of favorite local spots. even though it’s a 40 minute drive. well worth it. and the pizza was good

We came up from Northern VA. We had originally planned on another cidery in Gettysburg but got there to find it closed even though their website said they were open. So we searched other locations and reviews and decided on this one. It was such a good time, even with the overcast/rain. And the pineapple cider was absolutely amazing!

Stopped in last Friday evening on the way down to see friends in
Virginia with my wife and dog. Excellent wood-fired pizza from the oven in the truck outside cooked by an extremely attentive and friendly chef. Tremendous cider which is not cheap but it is worth the money! Excellent weather made the outside area which is surrounded by apple-laden trees a pure delight to enjoy the pizza and cider in. Totally chill and poser-free atmosphere clientele that included older folks, younger folks and even multi-generational family parties rounded off a the ambiance for a memorable experience. I highly recommend this gem that is off the beaten path but well worth beating a path to.
