Beguiling and provocative, mysterious and offbeat, The Bar plays the foil to the adjacent Grand Salon. The Bar takes its visual cues from great American long bars of decades past, glamorous ballrooms of French hôtels particuliers and the royal stables at Versailles with distinctive barrel vaulting and natural-wood walls defining much of the space. Last seating is one hour before closing. Please be advised that reservations are not accepted and guests will be accommodated on a first come, first serve basis, based upon availability.
Glitzy bar at Baccarat Hotel featuring craft cocktails, wine, small plates & an intimate terrace.

Incredibly classic experience in one of the glitziest bars in all of New York. The bartenders are very talented and will do whatever you ask even if you give them a challenge to be creative and make something new. This is what they did for me and they were absolutely perfect every time. The place is semi lively but a very relaxed and comfortable crowd. The bar has great artwork and all drinks are served in baccarat glasses. This is definitely a great place to hang out after a show as it stays open late. There’s no pressure to rush you can relax and enjoy your drink and end the night in such a relaxing fun way. The location is great also near the moma.

Welcoming staff, I can’t fault them- from doorman to servers, I felt truly welcome.. that’s what gave it 4stars in my opinion.
The atmosphere is nice but the noise level and lighting in the bar area is synonymous with being in a club which was a little off-putting when ordering/eating food// though I can’t fault the design either; I’d describe it as sexy, rugged, grandiose elegance; but you wouldn’t expect anything less.
Lastly, the food was ok.. very rich, and tasty.. though, I could of got a larger lobster roll at Luke’s Lobster for the amount I paid and I had dessert (and nibbles)- I know I’m paying for the name because I came home and still had to make something to eat at near enough 11PM.. I’d visit again, but not in a hurry, it’s not quite top of the list but an intriguing experience nonetheless

This bar/restaurant was absolutely phenomenal with amazing customer service. It was my first time coming here and experiencing such an elegant and exquisite place to eat and drink. I would absolutely recommend every time coming to New York to visit the hotel as it is filled with Bacarrat crystal pieces from floor to ceiling. The staff is absolutely friendly and well informed with any questions that you may have. Our server for the table each time we went listened and was always attentive when needed for additional pieces to order. I absolutely recommend coming here for a quick bite or even a nice long stay.

came here for my department holiday party in the private petite salon and loved it all. the decor, ambiance, food, and drinks were all great. the seating was so cozy with the food setup in the middle under the beautiful chandelier.

This place is truly a 1000/10 — a must-visit for anyone who appreciates this kind of style and atmosphere. When we came, it happened to be extremely busy because of a diplomatic delegation taking over the space, but we’re still so grateful that we were allowed in and had the chance to enjoy our time there. The cocktails were absolutely outstanding, the tableware and design were beautiful, and the staff was wonderful. If you’re looking for something truly unique, this is it. Yes, the prices are higher, but it’s completely worth it.

I have been to hundreds of venues in NYC and I wasn’t aware that such low-quality service even existed in the city. I felt disrespected during the entire time. To be more precise, my friend and I booked a table in the bar section (it was either the Christmas Eve or December 26th, I do not remember precisely) and the waiter barely greated us, he seemed annoyed that we were there and when we had to order he refused to serve a cup of hot water to my friend which was recovering from a cough. He indicated multiple times that “they do not serve tea at the bar if we do not order food”. He did not even ask me what was my order and blatantly refused to serve my friend because – I suppose – he was not expecting us to serve food anyway. The lack of professionalism continued during the entire night as another waiter aggressively asked me to move my phone from the table in order to position the food and they constantly insisted for us to order more drinks. The venue looks very nice but I would not visit again because of the service. We did not try the restaurant section of the location.

My partner and I had a disappointing experience here. We’ve lived in the city for years and have visited many hotel bars and venues, but we’ve never felt treated this way before.
To start on a positive note, the staff downstairs , a gentleman and a woman in a red dress — were welcoming and helped coordinate seating for us. They directed us upstairs and told us Chris would seat us at the bar.
However, when we went upstairs, Chris seated a group of four who arrived after us inside the bar. From what we heard, they had been told downstairs they would be seated in the foyer, yet they were brought into the bar area while my partner and I were asked to wait in the foyer instead.
When we politely asked him to double-check, his response was dismissive and rude. He said, “I don’t know what they told you downstairs, but this is what I have.” We were there celebrating an important milestone in our lives, so we didn’t want to argue or cause a scene and agreed to wait.
Chris told us he would bring us into the bar as soon as space opened up, but during the hour we were there we saw multiple people leave and no one followed up with us. We even tried making eye contact to check in, but he avoided us and never acknowledged us.
It was disappointing to feel ignored and treated so unprofessionally, especially at a venue that presents itself at a higher standard of hospitality. I hope management takes this feedback seriously, because service like this can really affect what should have been a special night.

Baccarat Bar has a lively, upscale vibe with great music and a touch of nightclub energy. We sat at the bar and had an amazing experience—Brian was one of the best bartenders we’ve ever met. Super skilled, friendly, and made incredible drinks.
Yes, the cocktails are pricey, but worth it—beautifully crafted and full of flavor. Highlights: the Baccarat Rouge, Dust to Dust, and The Opus.
Pro tip: get there around opening to snag a seat, especially at the bar—it’s the best spot to enjoy the atmosphere and chat with the awesome bartenders.

This place is absolutely beautiful with a great atmosphere—definitely a spot worth visiting. However, the cocktails were shockingly strong, like drinking pure alcohol. Terrible bartender. Even my husband couldn’t finish the espresso martini.

Very disappointed our waiters forgot to bring out the food we had to remind them several times .I was starving by the time I got my $55 cheeseburger. It was cold as were my fries. I was so hungry. I still ate it and wanted to just get out of there the drinks were good, but the service was horrible And the food was subpar not what I would expect from such an upscale place !
No one offered to even rectify the situation. I definitely won’t be back unless it’s for a cocktail . Too many other places with better food and service in NYC that actually would like to see their customers, satisfied and happy they did not care !
