Can’t wait to return! I loved everything about Basecamp! Immediately felt the warmth of a family owned restaurant. It was busy and we waited in line but that didn’t deter us. Even though they were busy we appreciated them accommodating our table of 7!
I ordered a white chocolate vanilla latte. The young lady at the counter convinced me to order the Nashville Hot Honey Chicken. I trusted her and it paid off! It was phenomenal and I got the recommended cheese grits on the side. All 7 of us loved what we ordered. They know how to fry some chicken!
The restrooms were clean and even had a sound machine with birds chirping. Super unique and I loved that added detail. The rustic style of decor was perfect. We didn’t have to wait long for our food! The prices were more than fair and it was super convenient to pay for our food ahead at the counter. That eliminated an possible waiting for wait staff to bring the check and we could easily pay seperatly. Parking was also easy.
We got a chance to talk to one of the family members after, I forget her name, but she was so sweet. She told us to come back and visit them for their fish Friday. If the fish is anything like the breakfast, I know I’ll be a “happy camper”! Can’t wait to go back.

I have driven by this place many times, and I finally decided to stop in. I am so glad we did, and we’ll definitely be going back! I had the turkey club and my husband had a pancake breakfast. Both were delicious! We also really enjoyed the service. Employees filtered through the dining room, regularly checking on patrons and they were very friendly and welcoming. Basecamp has a very chill, laid-back, family-friendly vibe with great food. Definitely recommend!

My experience at this restaurant was unfortunately off-putting, and I don’t think I’ll be returning. We were the very first customers of the morning, so I expected everything to be fresh and prepared well. The setup was already a bit different from what I anticipated. You walk in, order at the counter and then seat yourself. That would have been fine if the food and service had been better, but once the food arrived, there was no one available to address any issues. I asked for crispy bacon and received pieces that were burnt to the point of tasting like charcoal. My scrambled eggs were somehow both overcooked and undercooked at the same time. I tried to salvage the visit by getting a coffee afterward, but even that was disappointing. The bottom of my cup was filled with coffee grounds. Overall, the quality just wasn’t there.

Food was wonderful. I do really like the atmosphere. It’s open and inviting. Kind of reminds me of a cabin. I definitely will be revisiting. It would be an amazing treat after hiking Kennesaw mountain. Also i like their T-shirts.

My wife and I LOVE Base Camp and this time was no exception. I’ve literally never gotten anything here that wasn’t exceptionally delicious! On Saturday we had a nice family hike and decided to finish off with a nice brunch. My parents-in-law and brother-in-law hadn’t ever been before, so it was a special treat. The owner greeted us warmly and gave everyone a detailed rundown of his menu suggestions and most popular items. I ended up getting the praline pecan and bacon pancakes with their amazing fried chicken. It was sooo good! Several other family members got the French toast and fried chicken and one got the Nashville hot open faced chicken biscuit and everyone was a happy camper! Five stars all the way!

This is a great “base camp” to start your morning or hike up Kennesaw mountain . The chicken biscuit and cheese grits are must try. The staff was amazing and the place is very cozy especially on cold windy morning

My daughter and I tried Basecamp this morning after a hike on Kennesaw Mountain and it was a 10 out of 10! We loved everything from the atmosphere to the friendly staff, but especially the food. We would highly recommend and cannot wait to come back and try everything else. Very generous portions.

This was our 1st time here and everything was amazing from the cozy atmosphere to the service. Tiffany and Haleigh were so personable and helpful.

My husband and I stopped here on our way to our family’s house for Christmas because we saw a coffee and pancakes sign. I ordered the skillet and he ordered the cinnamon pancakes, and they were both delicious! The gravy in mine was smoky and creamy, absolutely amazing! His pancakes were probably the best I’ve ever had! The staff was friendly and the atmosphere was adorable with the hiking/mountain theme. As out of towners and big foodies, we were throughly impressed. Even the owner, Jim, came over to talk to us to see how everything is going. Wonderful experience! Highly
