To start the portion sizes were very generous. I got the eggs Benedict and it was two full pieces of toast, large portion of ham two eggs and corn fries on top of that. It was really good. The ham was a bit salty, but that’s what I would like out of breakfast food anyways. I think the portion sizes are fair considering the fact that all meals there are about $15.
My husband got the avocado omelette. He enjoyed it. We did not have anything to drink besides water although their orange juice did look delicious. I also saw another customer order the broccoli cheddar soup and it smelled and looked divine… Jack divine.
Keep in mind, they put on a 4% no cash fee to your bill, AKA a credit card fee.
The dining area was a bit chilly but it is winter and drafts get in.
Service was good. The people there were friendly.
We were there early on a Saturday morning, so decided to go for items from the breakfast menu. Looking over the brunch menu, there were many items that appealed to us there as well, but, well, breakfast called our name. The place was mostly empty and we were sat down immediately and offered coffee while we perused the menu. All the standard breakfast offerings are available, and there are some more unique items as well. We decided to try a Veggie Omelet as a “standard” item, but also the Salmon Scramble, as a more unique item.
The wait for the food was not excessive. When it was delivered, we dove into it and were very happy with the presentation and the flavors. The dill aioli on the Salmon was superb! The Veggie Omelet had large chunks of vegetables (If I wanted to nit-pick, they were maybe a tad too large?) and the accompanying home fries and toast were great. We tried their wheat toast since we like those kinds of bread and this was an eight grain version which we really enjoyed. Rounding out the meal was a side of bacon which was prepared exactly as I like it!
Definitely worth the visit and quite above any of the chains that serve breakfast in town!
Our waitress was older, inattentive, and reeked of cigarettes. From the moment we sat down, she seemed rushed and impatient — ironically, still waited nearly 30 minutes for our food. When we got up to use the restroom, she kept pressing us to order.
The “Coop Chicken Sandwich” looked like it was made with canned chicken, and the bread was drenched in butter. When we asked to replace it with sausage patties, they brought out SAUSAGE LINKS…on a sandwich.
To top it off, as we were leaving, the waitress actually went outside to check on customers who decided to leave after waiting too long. I can’t say I blame them.
We’ll never be back.
The bad: Pancakes were cold and required a steak knife to cut them, butter was cold and hard, syrup was cold and ketchup bottles were old, refilled and filthy. Biscuit was cold and very below average in flavor and dry as could be. Scrambled eggs and sausage were overcooked. You will smell like a deep fryer when you leave here. Service was fine but ultimately understaffed.
Very underwhelming experience. Plenty of other good breakfast spots, don’t waste your time.
