We were in town from Lubbock needed a place to drop in for a late lunch. Really clean place and we were seated almost immediately as the lunch crowded already left. We ordered the calamari and the four piece catfish to share. The calamari was fresh and hot, but it was lacking on the portion size. The main meal came out shortly afterwards and was ok. The catfish did not have a good crunch to it. It was actually kind of soft. The fries were just OK the coleslaw was actually really good. Overall, it was not a hit for us this time.

Great place! Everything from the grill was excellent — we had a burger, a fajita with three kinds of meat, and a seafood platter. Everything was flavorful and well-cooked. Honestly, it’s unfair that this place doesn’t have more reviews — it really deserves more attention.
Bonus: we saw prairie dogs right next to the restaurant!

We stopped here for a late lunch/early supper before my daughter’s game. We have good service, the waitress did talk very softly so my husband couldn’t hear her but other than it it was good. We started with cheese sticks and fried gator, they were both tasty and we would order again. My husband had the steak and shrimp with a baked potato, it came out with steamed broccoli and zucchini which we didn’t realize came with it or would have requested no veggies. The steak was decent with a decent flavor. I got the shrimp boil bowl – mild, so that others could try it also. It was very good with good size portions. My daughter got the shrimp Alfredo, she really like it.

Great place to eat!! We stopped on the way to New Mexico. We were surprised by the cleanliness, friendly staff, delicious food, and great location. 10/10 would recommend. The corn nuggets, Alfredo, and seafood platters are highly recommended.

Great lunch at Lonestar Cajun Seafood & Steaks! Sara was our server and she was awesome—friendly, helpful, and she even picked my meal for me. I had the chicken fried steak with fries and coleslaw and it was delicious. Peter loved the popcorn shrimp, and Kaysalynn enjoyed the chicken fried rice. The kids’ smoothies were great, and Peter’s boba drink was too. Compliments to the chef—everything was on point!

This is a nice place, clean and friendly, I was greeted as I walked in the door, server had a good attitude, I had a chicken fry, it was a good size, nice portion of fries and coleslaw, wish they serve bread or rolls with meal.

My brother in law and family stopped in while traveling from Lubbock to New Mexico. He called and asked what was a good spot to eat at and I recommended Lone Star. Although I have not been to the restaurant, I took a leap of faith and told him it is good. I had heard from past patrons that it’s a good place to eat. He did call me after he ate and told me that everything that the family ordered was delicious. He loved the gator and that it was fresh. Now I have to check it out my hometown restaurant.

Lonestar was easy to work with when I put the order in multiple days ahead of time, and everything came out hot, delicious, and perfectly on time. My clients were over the moon. Wow, pretty good Gumbo in little Brownfield Texas, what a great surprise! I personally cook a great Seafood gumbo and this gumbo was solid! Not much heat at first, but after about 3 minutes you starred feeling the spiciness of the gumbo and i started really enjoying it! Only thing is i was missing the bell pepper from the trinity, and if you have shrimp and sausage you might as well go ahead and add chicken too! I also ordered the shrimp and chicken fried rice, it was ok, It had good taste but could have been a little softer and fluffier and peas and carrots would help balance it out. But I definitely Reccomend this place, great little spot!! Thumbs Up
