Prices are good for quantity – but maybe scale back the quantity a smidge and focus on quality. They have some unique items. Variety of food. Nothing was bad- just nothing was great.
We came in at 230pm and it was a ghost town. We thought it was closed at first.
The floor was entirely dirty. Tables clean but very obviously quickly wiped- you could see sticky patches.
Service was good, some moments they did take a while. What threw my appetite off – one of the workers was very obviously sick and could be heard coughing multiple times. I don’t want that around my food. We sat in awkward silence the first 20 minutes until they figured out the radio. It’s dark inside- so it really felt like the last five minutes of lunch before they let you out for recess in primary/middle school.
The decor is nice. Restrooms are clean. The water is tap.
Thanks Tommy for the great experience
We ordered a spicy salmon roll, a Philly roll & a Las Vegas roll. We also had 2 orders of salmon nigiri & an order of veggie spring rolls. The food took about 10 minutes to start coming out. We got the salmon nigiri & spring rolls first. The salmon was VERY thickly cut & it was Delicious! The ginger was fresh and rice was seasoned well. I will definitely be back for that. The spring rolls on the other hand, we both were not fans of. They definitely tasted like old grease and the inside was grey. I put that down after bite 1. We recieved the platter of sushi after another 5 minutes. Our Philly, spicy salmon & las vegas were on there. They are heavy w the rice on all 3 rolls. We started w the spicy salmon. The roll was great! The sauce on the salmon w the amount of rice was perfectly paired. It coated the rice in your mouth and spreads the spicy goodness all over. Every bite a new blend of flavors with a crispy crunch & snap of the seaweed. The Philly roll was ok to me. My husband loved the fact that they use a huge block of cream cheese in it but it honestly over took the entire flavor of the roll for myself. Our least favorite was the Las Vegas roll. The batter used was way too sweet for that type of a roll. We honestly took one out of the 8 rolls each and did not eat the rest. It almost tasted like a sweet corn dog batter but instead of a thick batter it’s really thin. Either way, I did not enjoy the sweetness w the fish. We asked for our check shortly after and our total was $51 and change. Not to bad. We would try this place again in the future. I decided to give 4 stars because we had a great server and they were fast. Worth a shot. I definitely reccomend the salmon nigiri!!
The sashimi was cut poorly, and presented even worse. A real sushi chef would never just throw all the fish on top of each other with such rough cuts.
The rolls were either overpacked with mayo or empty containing nothing. Probably won’t come back.
