Reviews
1. Neither employee wearing a hair restraint
2. Employee is wearing gloves while on his phone, on the makeline, the area designated to make customer orders.
I told the employee I’d like to cancel my order, and he said he’s out of one of the crust types I ordered, so I say “well I guess it works out then.”
He says he needs to call his manager to cancel the order. “No problem”, I say.
Manager misses initial call, but calls back, and the employee tells him that a customer(me) would like to cancel his order.
Manager would like to know why, so I tell him that they’re out of what I ordered, as well as the food safety reasons above.
The manager says he’ll give me a refund, and tells the employee to save the receipt and to take him off speaker phone now(lol).
The employee is embarassed and apologizes. I also apologize and then leave.
5 days later I check my bank account and still no refund. Weird.
I call the store up again during day hours to speak to a manager.
I asked the manager when I should expect a refund, and he remarks with “I hear you were pretty rude to my employees.”
I reply with something along the lines of “I get it, and that sucks. I understand he was embarassed, but what I told him is what you heard on the phone that day, and if he really feels that way, can you tell him I meant no ill intent and that I’m sorry if he took what I said as rude, but they need to follow food safety laws and regulations”
The manager proceeds to tell me that due to religious concerns, none of his employees actually have to wear any type of hair restraint, and then he asks if the employee on the food line who was on his phone was actually making any pizza.
I was shocked to say the least. Actually, it IS a Minnesota law to wear hair restraints, unless they are strictly counter employees that don’t make food, which doesn’t apply here.
Manager wanted to continue fighting me on a refund so I just said, “look can i just get the food then if you don’t want to refund me?”
Manager then miraculously agrees to a refund, and I tell him once again to send my apologies to the employee.
The manager really told me I was rude for canceling my order because they don’t follow food safety standards. Wild stuff….
Anyway, why would anyone go here after that?
They couldn’t even sufficiently staff their store during a promotional week, and the employees go as slow as possible because they hate their customers(just guessing by their attitudes)
Silly place. Silly world. Clown manager
