We had the pot roast grits and the flight of gits along with one Belgian waffle and 2 ice teas. While the grits had good flavor, no way they should have lumps and unfortunately the flight had several… and plasticware is totally unacceptable for a $70 meal
Lastly, don’t add a 15% gratuity, then base a suggested additional gratuity on the meal, tax and included gratuity…
At that rate I would have paid $80 for a bowl and a half for grits…

I finally had a chance to take my wife out for brunch and I was so excited to have shrimp and grits. The service was excellent and the food was magnificent and I asked my wife why can’t I make grits like this at home? It was so good i can’ wait to return!

Ordered take out today. I believe this spot has potential but my order was not hitting. My gf ordered the 3 wing lunch special with yams and cabbage. Yams and cabbage were good 8/10. The wings 2/10 they were over cooked, super dry and chewy and small as ever. I had the 1/4 white dinner with cabbage and Mac & cheese. Mac n cheese to me 7/10 but my gf thought different. My chicken super duper dry! The first bite i had chug some water. No exaggeration. Ah yeah i also had the jerk chicken egg rolls. They were good. The best thing i ordered. 8.5/10

This place deserves more visits and credit than it currently gets. Nice decor and a unique menu considering it’s in the south suburbs. The oysters with crab meat are a stand out and the drinks are phenomenal. We loved the hibachi noodles with shrimp. Only complaint was cook time was a bit long to get food out, but small staff did their best

I was disappointed in so many ways. 1. They didn’t have any Lamb 2. The cat fish portions were small, 3. The Mac and Cheese was not good at all, 4. The red beans and rice was just ok, 5. The drinks were weak. 6. I dinned in and they gave me my food in to go containers. 7. Also, the restaurant is small and the music was rap with cursing. Very unprofessional. The Best things on the memu were the salmon egg rolls and the Jerk Oysters. If I ever come back it will be for the Oysters and egg rolls and I will get it to go.

The spot was cute and well designed. Very small intimate setting. Great for date night but not girls night out if your group is bigger than 3. There is also automatic 15% gratuity. The food was good, I think it is over priced. The seafood boils were more expensive than they should be in my opinion. The pasta and fried rice dishes were very salty. They go hard with the salt. Nevertheless the food was good. The service was a challenge because we had a new waitress in training. So we waited about 30 mins before she actually took our order.

The restaurant definitely has a lot of potential, but it really needs additional serving staff. During our visit, there was only one server, and I personally saw at least four tables of three leave due to the slow service. Adding even one more server would make a big difference.
The manager was absolutely amazing—very kind, understanding, and professional—but she clearly needs more support.
One suggestion for the menu: the jerk seasoning is tasty but leans on the sweeter side. It would be great to have a slightly hotter option for those who enjoy more heat.
Also, guests who are waiting patiently should still feel welcomed. We were understanding of the delays and planned to spend money, but it felt like we were assumed to be just sitting due to the slow service. We weren’t offered anything for our patience, and instead were told our table might need to be split because more people were coming—even though there was only one server.
Overall, the manager handled things with grace, and with better staffing and a few small adjustments, this place could be excellent.
