I go down to Florida every year with family. My dad discovered Nonna Maria a few years ago, and since then, I’ve kept it on my list of restaurants that must be visited on the annual trip.
Nonna Maria is not very big inside – there’s a very intimate atmosphere. Yet it’s not like some small places, where you might feel a bit too cosy with your fellow patrons. There is the hum of conversation and low music. The various wait staff are very attentive; this definitely isn’t the sort of establishment where you’ll be left needing anything.
On my last visit, I had eggplant parmesan, a green salad, pommes frites, and creme brulee for dessert. All were excellent. My grandmother was particularly impressed with how they boxed our food to take home. She is very concerned with cleanliness, tidyness, etc., so she loved that the boxes were wrapped in plastic wrap. I also thought this was a good idea given how many items on the menu had sauces, including my eggplant parmesan.

I loved everything about this place! It was perfect for a great meal – quality, price, and portion. The vibe is upscale, we came in casual, and they didn’t treat us any differently. The service is thoughtful and the owners are on site. This is truly a gem. Palm Beach Island-worthy without the pretentiousness, high price and mediocre meals. I just wish the outdoor seating was a little more romantic/vibey. Thank you for having us! Looking forward to our return.

I loved this restaurant so much! Everything was delicious!! I had the eggplant Parmesan. It was one of the best I ever had. The onion soup was my favorite. It was made with a chicken stock, which was unique. I absolutely loved it. After dinner they brought a coconut macaroon. I was impressed with the service and enjoyed talking to the beautiful owner, Judy. I will definitely be back and recommend to friends. Haha. Came back sooner than expected, as Judy called to say my husband forgot his credit card. So thankful she called within minutes of leaving. Don’t miss this quaint restaurant that won’t disappoint!

We have been going to restaurant for over ten years. They are a husband and wife team. Judi takes care of reservations (plus many other jobs owning a restaurant) and walks around to make sure you are enjoying the food. Francois is the chef (who is from France) who also comes out to make sure your dining experience is what you want it to be.
The food is called French with an Italian twist. It is all delicious and freshly cooked. The food never changes because the chef is always in the kitchen making sure everything is done right.
They have a pre-fix dinner menu which includes appetizer, main course, and desert for one price. But you can order a main course only because you will find that the portions are generous and still maintain quality. It may vary a small amount if you choose something like fresh oysters as your appetizer but it so worth it. This has been our very favorite restaurant in Palm Beach County and when we have friends visiting from Europe this is the favorite place they request to have dinner.
We can’t say enough about this restaurant for consistency and Judi and Francois are as nice as they are making sure everything is prepared well for their clients. This is a small restaurant and they have added outside dining but you will need a reservation as they are very busy especially during season in Florida.

This is our Favorite Restaurant in West Palm Beach. The owners, Judy, the host, is such a pleasure to deal with, while Francois, the chef, has combined the Italian and French cuisines in a unique and wonderful manner. Service has always been attentive and pleasant. White tablecloth service, fine selection of wines and consistent tasty entries makes this Restaurant a must visit. Prices are very reasonable and the memory of a fun evening out is worth the fare…
