I had a great experience at the Cold Stone in Silver Spring! The dairy-free chocolate ice cream was delicious, and my son absolutely loved his shake. There was only one young Hispanic lady working, but she was fantastic—she greeted us with a smile and provided excellent service. It’s not often you see someone so dedicated to making sure customers are happy. I highly recommend visiting this location if you’re in the area!

I am highly disappointed with my experience yesterday at 4 pm. My 5 year old wanted a simple scoop of ice cream with strawberries. I saw the employee put the old soggy strawberries on the ice cream and I called her out on it, she looked bothered and added new strawberries from another prepped container. I have worked in the food industry and know old berries when I see them, you don’t have to be a chef to see it. My daughter was complaining about abdominal pain 1.5 hours later, mind you she was perfectly fine before we got the ice cream. She refused to eat dinner and shared she continued to have discomfort and requested I rub her tummy. She went to bed early and woke up at 9 pm throwing up!! I will unfortunately never go back, this place needs better quality control particularly with perishable items. I get its not summer so business may be slow, put spoiled fruit is not a joke when one scoop of simple ice cream is nearly $8.

It is ridiculous for a Labor Day weekend to only have two people working it’s 7:23 pm. on August 31,2025, and there is a long line. This store did not prepare to provide excellent customer service to its community. One girl is attending as the server and the other girl is the cashier. There is approximately 40 + people waiting in line. Horrible service, no excuse. I wish I could take a picture of the ridiculous long line. Te young ladies working are good worker. The management is very poor, needs to show it cares for its community. What management is showing is that they are cheap in hiring more people and taking advantage of the two lady workers. I hope this place shuts down and hoping something better replaces it.Our community deserves better. This is the Downtown Silver Spring location.

The description of the ingredients in the ice cream cupcake on the company’s website, Door Dash, and Uber Eats for the Ice Cream Cupcake Variety 6 Pack ingredients is very misleading. When I ordered these ice cream cupcakes there was a description under the lid of the package which described all of the ingredients on each cupcake: High Fructose Corn Syrup and Hydrogenated vegetable oil were the leading culprits along with every type of sugar, corn syrup, and artificial flavors. I expected sugar from Real ice cream but not the other fake ingredients. It would have been nice if they put the description of the cupcakes on their website as they put it underneath the package on the lid of the cupcakes so that I was allowed the option to see what the ingredients were in the food BEFORE my purchase from the store. There’s whipped cream on top of the ice cream cupcakes so that may account for artificial ingredients. The 2 stars given are because the kids who ate them enjoyed the taste of the ice cream cupcakes. * Note: this purchase was made by me via Door Dash.

I got the Very Vanilla Shake and it was delicious. I got the largest sized and shared it w/ my bf. It was under 10 dollars and enough for the both of us. The workers were kind and could speak English and Spanish so that is a plus. It is very family friendly.

Cold stone is good as a chain overall but I wouldn’t recommend ordering online. Ordered ice cream with a waffle bowl cone. When I got my order no cone was in the bag. I received a lot of notifications but NONE said “item not in stock”. When I called the cashier said “we don’t have any and I didn’t know if you’d prefer a kids cone”. Next time you should call and ask, or notify your customer or DONT TAKE PEOPLES MONEY FOR ITEMS YOU DONT HAVE.

Myla and Jessica!!!, they went above and beyond! I came in to pick up an order and there was some type of mix up. They were quick to help solve it, super sweet, and professional! I couldn’t have asked for better service and I know I was being an inconvenience coming in minutes to closing. Huge shout out to these ladies. Had I been able to tip I would’ve.

They gave severely less than the normal about for the regular size. And for the fixings, we asked for Pretzel and reeses. They put only 1 reeses piece in the mix. They barely mixed the ice cream. All that for $8+…. We’ve been to this location many times before and never did they do this. I wish I took a photo to share it here. The ice cream was barely over the cup. This is so disappointing and unreasonable for the price. I hope they can train their people to do this better because this is NOT the service typical from Coldstone. If this happens again, I may say something because this was a highway robbery. Shame on you.
