It’s was delicious authentic auntie cooking pad Thai. Freshly made and also had the egg rolls which were filled with fresh cabbage and veggies and so hotly fresh they’d burn your mouth (which they did but worth it). 10/10 would recommend all the way.

First time visit had three entrées, all ordered extra spicy and they were indeed, that way. Big portions, and ability to customize dishes with many add-ons for a price when ordering online. Pad Thai with shrimp was not annoyingly wet like some places. Good flavor. Pineapple Rice with tofu as protein was good ordered with extra bok choy. Green Curry with pork ordered with extra eggplant was good but a little disappointing as the sauce was not creamy. Nice lady works hard inside the truck. Order online to avoid waiting.

Oh dang! Took me long enough to visit and will now be my walkable staple for spice. Tried my goto of gang dang and really pleased. Friendly and super quick curry to hit the spot. FYI careful about going to spicy (though I regret nothing)

Banthai saved our Christmas! When our Christmas Eve dinner plans fell through, we thought we may not be able to find a last minute dinner solution. Banthai not only took our late order, but when we came to pick it up they gave us free Thai iced teas in the spirit of Christmas. I was so blown away by this, they really saved our night and made it even more special.
The food is delicious, there’s a big menu to explore, and the people that work here are always friendly and helpful. I’d love more veggies and the curries, but that’s not a critique enough to take out a star. Overall an awesome food truck run by awesome people!

Ordered pick up and had the pad kee mao. 3 stars because the spicy was in fact spicy but beyond that just super uninspired. If they got Thai folks cooking, I would encourage them to use some of their incredible spices. Noodles were super flaccid and limp. I did enjoy the Tom kha! Maybe this spot is it and Pad Kee Mao just ain’t their top dish.

Delicious! We had the pork pad see ew and the chicken pad Thai and both were great. We also enjoyed the Thai iced tea with milk. Loved that there was a little garden made out of an urban corner! We spent about $13 each for entree and drink.

Amazing Thai food! I ordered the pad kee mao with the spicy level at 5 and it was most definitely a 5 spicy! I loved it! Definitely left a punch in my mouth and woke me up. Boyfriend also ordered their curry and it was amazing. They didn’t have boba this day so we opted for the Thai tea and my boyfriend and I’s only critique was only they have us more!!! It was one of the best Thai teas I’ve had up to date. Will be coming here again!!!

I love this place. The pad thai is my favorite in South Austin. The price is great, and she is always so sweet and quick when I order. The spice is also actually spicy!!!

I think Banthai Express just became my go-to for a local Thai spot in southwest Austin. I was recommended this food truck by some Thai friends who said all of their dishes are solid. I’ve been here several times and ordered a variety of dishes and have enjoyed them all. The food is fresh, flavorful, and piping hot each time I order. It’s easy to order both online, and just walk up to the window and order on the spot. There are a wide variety of dishes, and something for everyone in the family.
One thing I especially like about Banthai is that the dishes that are supposed to be spicy have some heat to them. Often I find Thai restaurants, in America at least, I think end up catering to people who want to order spicy dishes but don’t actually like spicy food (go figure)…so the rest of us who do like spice miss out.
