La Cubana is a family-run Cuban food trailer and catering kitchen bringing a little Miami flavor to Salt Lake City. Founded in 2016 and rebuilt after COVID, we serve authentic Cuban sandwiches, rice bowls, yuca, tostones, croquetas, pastelitos, and Cuban coffee made from my mother’s original recipes. If you ever hear the sound of a small woman screaming “OYEEEE CHRISTINAAAAAA” at the top of her lungs at the farmers market, it’s me, rejoicing in the pure joy and deliciousness that is La Cubana. I have been devouring Christina’s incredible Cuban food for many years, and as a cubanita from Miami I can attest that this is the REAL DEAL.
If you are a vegetarian (and even if you aren’t) you MUST try the vegan picadillo. It’s so rare to get good veggie alternatives in Cuban cuisine, and Christina’s vegan picadillo is pure perfection.
You’ve also gotta hit her up for the holidays for catering (or any time of the year). I just placed my order for pastelitos and yuca and mojo to go with my Noche Buena menu and I’m so excited to treat my guests to this authentic, made-with-love Cuban cuisine.

Caught La Cubana today outside of the downtown farmers market in SLC. I am from South FL and I can 100% percent agree this was the best Cuban sandwich I have ever had. The sandwich was so delicious it might have to make it into my weekly stops. Between the warmth, pressed bread , and the meats. My mouth is watery when writing this review. I would like to say the staff was super friendly and positive and made the entire sandwich experience pleasurable.

My husband also had them cater a large event of 200 and they were amazing. They came prepared and were quick to serve the lunch rush. People were raving about how good the food was. This food is made with LOVE and you taste it!

La Cubana is truly an experience. The owner and her wonderful family are so kind and welcoming. You truly feel as if they are making your food for their own family. Was very excited to try their items as I’m from Miami and I haven’t been able to find anything Cuban in SLC. They were at Wheeler’s farmers market and I was very happy. I ordered a Cortadito and was pretty disappointed with the experience. The menu on the right side of the truck said $4 and I was charged $5 for it. When I was given the coffee, the espresso itself was extremely cold and the milk was steamed so it wasn’t a good temperature ratio at all. The owners were cooking while their son was making coffee orders and taking orders from the customers. Overall, I wish the quality control was a bit better on all aspects, food and pricing display on food truck.
